VIDEO: "Catharsis" the fragrance: A temper tantrum in a bottle

By GottaLaff

It lingers, it hangs in the air like 18 million egos... it's....."Catharsis."

How can people simultaneously bitch about the news media prattling on about how we can't achieve party unity AND continue posting crap like this? You're just proving their point - and giving the PUMAs justification.

"Unity" implies cooperation from both halves of the democratic party - so embrace the Change and aim the barbs as McCain!

You know, Gotta, I'm jumping mad already. (See my comments below under Paddy's convention post).

Here's my analysis: I don't give a shit right now about the Clintons. I really don't. This country isn't in need of some fucking catharsis. How crazy that a Clinton would think that, right? Not really. It's about them. Fuck the obvious fact that this country, our families, our kids, the next generation--all of us need a Democrat in the White House and not some IDIOTIC catharsis!!!

WANNA TALK ABOUT WORDS, HILLARY? THEY'RE JUST WORDS, REMEMBER? BUT HOW CLINTONIAN OF YOU TO THINK THAT NOW YOUR WORDS, AND ONLY YOUR WORDS, WILL HEAL THE RIFT IN THE PARTY. THE SKIES WILL OPEN, THE SUN WILL SHINE DOWN, AND THE SPIRITS OF YOUR SELFISH, RACIST FOLLOWERS WILL SEE THE LIGHT AND VOTE FOR THE DEMOCRAT IN THE FALL. SEE THE ABSOLUTE HYPOCRISY HERE?

(I expect to have a nervous breakdown any day now).

I'm kinda with anonymous, but then again, I always hate it when people are out at a restaurant with their spoiled-brat kid and just won't do anything about the temper tantrum he/she is throwing . . . you know, for the sake of everybody in the family getting along. Meanwhile, I have to listen to the kid screaming for an hour about how they wanted to eat at fucking McDonald's and they never get what they want.

So, anonymous, what point is Laffy proving, that all seven PUMAs are spoiled fucking brats that need to grow the fuck up? With that, I'd agree.

Anon, I see your point. However, this site just puts it all out there in the open. Mostly the ire is aimed at McMansions, but we have a PUMA problem which is being made worse on a daily basis by the media. And Gotta did include the snark label there, I think...yup, I see it. And more often than not, humor is the coping mechanism of choice around here.

More evidence that the PUMA "phenomena" is made up by Fox, CNN, & Morning Joe to get ratings: a NY Times poll of convention delegates that finds, surprise, that they're overwhelmingly in support of Obama . . . even the Clinton delegates.

And, these are the die-hard Clinton supporters that are going to the DNC.

As a result, I think that it's okay to make fun of the six PUMAs (one, sadly, passed away since my previous comment. It's a sad thing too, she was the last surviving Confederate widow).

Speaking of McCain versus Obama:

Emily's list had a poll done in August. Obama leads McCain among women by 12 points. Obama leads in all age groups. Women over 63 prefer Obama by 11 points. Young women (18 to 27) prefer Obama by 30 points!!!

Reagan won by having a 12 point lead among women -- just for a little comparison.

Anon, it's satire. I thought it was funny. I love snark, and this is a hot topic.

Just because I want us to come together as a party doesn't mean I can't appreciate somebody else's p.o.v. and creativity... and I also agree with the premise that this is way overblown, a creation of the media, and therefore needs to be poked fun at (sorry for ending with a preposition, not in the mood to be grammatically correct).

And thanks Clancy, Ady, for saying it better than I could have.

Just for the record, I for one have never prattled on about "party unity."

I have been a big fan, however, of "grow up and get over it." And if you can't, then STFU and let the adults take care of things.

Personally, I think making fun of these idiots is the best thing we can do.
