Sarah Palin Is A Creationist

Of course, when confronted, she backtracked, but here is what she said.

The volatile issue of teaching creation science in public schools popped up in the Alaska governor's race this week when Republican Sarah Palin said she thinks creationism should be taught alongside evolution in the state's public classrooms.

Palin was answering a question from the moderator near the conclusion of Wednesday night's televised debate on KAKM Channel 7 when she said, 'Teach both. You know, don't be afraid of information. Healthy debate is so important, and it's so valuable in our schools. I am a proponent of teaching both.'

But, but, but-

Asked for her personal views on evolution, Palin said, "I believe we have a creator."

She would not say whether her belief also allowed her to accept the theory of evolution as fact.

"I'm not going to pretend I know how all this came to be," she said.

Oh goodie. Another one who believes that science has an equal footing with religion. And doesn't seem to understand the separation of church & state.

How can we be running out of oil if God put the oil in the earth? Obviously there wasn't time for the oil to be created from bimass in the short time the earth has been in existence.

I wonder if she thinks the earth is at the center of the universe also?

You have to admit that Sarah Palin is pretty hot (remember she was in the Ms. Alaska Pageant) and MUCH BETTER on the eyes than Joe Biden. Oh and wait until you see the bikini pics!!! NOT BAD for a mother of 5.

I wonder if she's aware that Genesis 1:2, in the original manuscripts, says the earth became without form and void, having already existed for a long time.

Of course, Genesis still reads a lot more like Kipling's Just So Stories than any kind of geological history.

Women vote. And women aren't going to vote for the GOP just because there's a hot chick on the ticket.

Why is it that you converts to naturalism seem so bigoted, negative, unaccepting of others who hold the equally improbable beliefs of creation?

converts? equally improbable? we can see you've been taking your Sunday stupid pills... the lazy and weak-minded believe rather than think.

Palin has spent 2 years as governor of a state whose population is a quarter that of Brooklyn. She is unqualified. Her limited intellect is shown by her belief that creationism should be given “equal time” in science classrooms with evolution. That McCain would pick an unqualified woman of limited intellect demonstrates that he is more interested in winning the election than providing competent leadership. That “social conservatives” hail her as a great candidate shows that they care more about their personal agenda than securing the future of our country.
