Mr. Bill is already making me nauseous with the mere sound of his loofa-toned voice. Although he does do a great Stephen Colbert impression.
This is only Part One of the interview, btw. Right now Billo is speaking to Karl Rove. I have the sound turned off, and will not turn it back on until the Obama interview.
He's talking to Newt Gingrich right now. My sound is still off.
JOHN MCCAIN IS GOING TO ACCEPT THE NOMINATION AT 9:11 TONIGHT. Give me a break. Just heard on Rachel Maddow's radio show.
Billo's promo just now:
"It's all about him protecting us. Will he convince you that he's a terror warrior?"Bite me, Billo. Here comes Barack. The next 3 parts are Mon-Wed. of next week.
He asked O who the enemy is. He said the Taliban and Al Qaeda. We have to go after them. Iran is a major threat, but not the same... not part of the same network.
We have to distinguish between the groups. Bush lumped everyone together. We have to shut down and destroy the bad guys.
B: How threatening is Iran? He's asking as an American. Oy. Diplomacy isn't enough.
O: We agree that they can't have nukes. And I've also said military action is not off the table. But O won't tip his hand on plans. He wouldn't cave to Billo's push.
O: I disagree that we've exhausted all our resources. We need to work with Europeans.
Billo is arguing. It's all hypothetical.
O: Everything is hypothetical, but we need to ratchet up...
Billo: Iran will say F you. McCain says "you ain't doing that". You were right on Iraq, wrong on the Surge. We also inhibited Iran with the surge.
O: I'll repeat what I've said: The violence is down, troops did great. The surge succeeded in ways nobody anticipated, including Bush... The Sunni awakening helped. Billo is interrupting. O continues: The war was mismanaged... disastrous. Open ended. Iraqis needed to help.
Bill: Say you were wrong about the surge.
O: The Iraqis still don't take responsibility. They have $79 billion!
Bill: Afghanistan/Pakistan. You gave a good speech in Denver, but you bloviated about not going into the cave.
O: McCain loves to say he'd follow them to gates of hell. What we can do is pressure Pakistan. Military aid with no strings attached, right now.
Bill: So you'll let the islamic fundamentalists take over?
O: We'll help build their democracy. Diplomacy. Work with the government. If we have Bin Laden in our sites, we target him.
Bill: EVeryone says that.
O: We need to pressure Pakistan to get them to do what we need them to do.
THAT'S IT? 5 minutes?
