There are THREE fire trucks outside on my small street. One's a crane. (One story houses here.) And I see nothing.

Oh, wait, it was a Code Pink demonstrator

Thank you! I finally restarted and saw it briefly, but FF is awful these days.

the video montage was just revolting ... "we remember where we were on 911 and how our lives changed" ... yeah and we remember that our Republican leaders told us to fucking go shopping. 'cuz you know, we weren't doing that before so our lives really changed.

unless you consider shopping for some new made in china magnetic car decals a change in your life.

Inappropriate. Totally and completely inappropriate. I would ask how they dare do this, but...they always dare beyond the bounds of propriety.

It's funny that I never really noticed how Terror-Free the Democratic Convention was until the Republidouches made a point of reminding us how Senator Obama forgot to jump out with a Bin Laden mask on and shout "BOO, BITCHES!" while a 9/11 tribute played on the 40-foot Obamavision screens. How curious! Wouldn't you think the Party that has so miserably failed to quell The Terror™ worldwide and -- OOPS! -- forgot to pick Bin Laden up for The Mass Murder would be the one keeping that shit quiet?

Asstards.

GottaLaff said...

Let's not forget on whose watch that happened. The video is a reminder of that.

Appalling, and I'm with Keith on being offended.

But, but, but, 9/11! I mean seriously folks, when you actually get down to it, 9/11.

Haven't you at all been 9/11?

I mean, don't you see? 9/11. It's as clear as day, 9/11, that what we really need is 9/11, especially when you consider 9/11.

So just go 9/11, and don't worry about 9/11 because John McCain will 9/11.

I couldn't watch it, I was born and partly raised in Brooklyn where my mom's family are from and it brought 2 much pain. I can't stand the Republican party, they are just full of hate and division. Did you see some of the hateful expression on these people attending the Convention while wimpy Graham was attacking Obama?

FEAR AND SMEAR, that's it with the neocon/republicons. How low can these people go.Is there no end to their bottomless pit of sleeze and misinformation. I treasure the days when our leaders said," THE ONLY THING WE HAVE TO FEAR IS FEAR ITSELF" ! But now generating FEAR is a party platform. This is truly sickning. I know we will never get the BEVERLY HILLBILLY TYPES to see the light, but I pray the rest of the country gets it. BUNNIE AND McCLYDE, I mean SARAH LOO AND SIDNEY McCAIN are a disgrace to this country.

#1 Obama leads McCain in donations from Military personnel, 6-1 http://kennebecjournal.mainetoday.com/view/columns/5376450.html

Despite McCain's status as a decorated veteran and the historically Republican leanings among the military, members of the armed services overall -- whether stationed overseas or at home -- are favoring Obama with their campaign contributions in 2008 by a $55,000 margin.

Army Specialist Jay Navas contributed $250 while deployed in Iraq:

"It took some effort to get that check. I had my mom send me my checkbook and I walked to the post office in Camp Liberty in Baghdad with an envelope addressed to Barack Obama in Chicago, Illinois," he said. "Most of my friends are conservative Republicans and they say, 'I'm voting for Barack.' McCain does not have a lock on the military vote, that's for sure."

# 2 McCain's Voting Record: He Does Not Support Our Troops and Veterans

August 2001: McCain voted against increasing the amount available for medical care for veterans by $650,000,000. To his credit, he also voted against the 2001 Bush tax cuts, which he now supports making permanent, despite the dire financial condition this country is in, and despite the fact that he indicated in 2001 that these tax cuts unfairly benefited the
very wealthy at the expense of the middle class.

John McCain is yet another Republican former military veteran who likes to talk a big game when it comes to having the support of the military. Yet, time and time again, he has gone out of his way to vote against the needs of those who are serving in our military. If he cant even see his way to
actually doing what the troops want, or what the veterans need, and he doesnt have the support of veterans, then how can he be a credible commander in chief?

DETAILS: Veterans For Common Sense has a great site with the detailed vote

Obscene.

That's the word that comes to mind. Along with a few others that would probably melt the Internet. (I've got your rancour right here, McCain!)

The RNC should be crucified in every media outlet for having so brazenly politicized 9/11 to a degree I would have hoped even they were incapable of.

Ultimately, the blame must rest with John "Noun-Verb-POW" McCain. It is his party, disavowals notwithstanding. It is his campaign. It was his show tonight.
I keep hearing a voice remembered from my youth: "Have you no decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?"

Keith Olbermann is a true maverick. He so rocks!! He points out facts and his positions unfailingly. I love that guy! I really do.

This is the first I have seen this video; I couldn't stomach watching the Repub convention even though Keith was on air (& I watch Keith EVERY night).

I agree showing this video is outrageous, but what do you expect from a party that will lie, cheat, steal and use propaganda to get their nominees elected.

This race is FAR from over, the Repubs lying and smearing is just beginning. We must do all we can to get Obama elected. Can you imagine what the next 4 years would be like if McSame gets in??

Donate, volunteer, blog, talk, do all that is in your power to help get these idiots OUT of office!

Keep up the good work Keith; we are behind you 100%!
