That was all it took. I'm his forever. That and how he took apart Moosey McQuitQueen (bolding mine):

Last week, Sarah Palin came to Orlando to help defeat me. Palin gave a speech in which she said that the Republicans needed "take me out." Like she was shooting a moose from a helicopter.
This week, you and I got 75 cosponsors for our Medicare You Can Buy Into Act. 75 co-sponsors, in six days.
We did this together, with People Power. I was talking to members on the floor of the House, and you were sending e-mails and phone calls. My colleagues told me about all the creative ways that you reached them. Many of you forwarded to me the messages you sent.
THAT is what a movement looks like. THAT is the America we believe in, where we help each other, where we do good things for the benefit of all. It is an America that Palin would never understand, despite her formidable powers of comprehension.
And here is something else that we've done together. We've put together a campaign to beat back Sarah Palin. A campaign not funded by favor-seeking rich people and corporations, but by people like you. Last quarter, you helped me raise $500,000 dollars in one day, an average of $50 at a time. This blew away fundraising for every other House campaign, including people that took money from insurance companies, Wall Street, and defense contractors.
And you sent a message that was heard loud and clear. We like leaders with guts. And now, despite all the right-wing stalling and kvetching, we are going to get things done.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters in his West Wing office Friday that the Republican Party's approval rating is "only slightly above the national drinking age."Send that man a drink.

The White House criticized CNN for its report on a Coast Guard training exercise that suggested there was a security situation near the nation’s capital. [...]
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs criticized the cable news network and defended the Coast Guard’s action.
"We're all safer because of training exercises," Gibbs said. "My only caution would be before we report things like this, checking would be good."
Gibbs said the White House did not have advance notice of the exercise, but he said Obama does not "micromanage" training maneuvers of the U.S. military. [...]
Gibbs said he doesn't "tend to question" what military branches do while "keeping the nation's capital safe."
Gibbs also disputed any comparison to an incident earlier this year when the 747 used as Air Force One alarmed New York City residents by flying near lower Manhattan in an effort to get publicity pictures of the plane.
"I don't see any analogy to that," Gibbs said.
Gibbs faulted CNN for jumping the gun and "unnecessarily" alarming citizens.

In a new blog post for the Daily Beast as Ann Coulter and HBO host Bill Maher are kicking off a week-long debate tour today in New York, McCain calls President Obama “the hippest politician around” and says being a Republican is “about as edgy as Donny Osmond.”
And she blasts Coulter for helping to “perpetuate negative stereotypes” about Republican women. “I straight up don’t understand this woman or her popularity,” says McCain. “I find her offensive, radical, insulting, and confusing all at the same time.”
Who knocked so much sense into this girl? She obviously doesn't take after McMomAndDad. Obama is hip? Donny Osmond-Rushpublican references? MegMac, you are like, so kewl!
She concedes that Coulter seems to be followed by a “cult that cannot be denied,” and was a popular headliner at the recent Conservative Political Action Conference, but adds that “when your competition is a teenager who has a dream about the Republican Party and Stephen Baldwin, it’s not really saying that much.”
