I'm stuck with only copying and pasting the little bit that I can load right now, so here are some bits and pieces:
Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin called Afghanistan “our neighboring country” on Sunday in a speech that could revive questions over her tendency to stumble into linguistic knots.Could? Could add fuel? Oh, puh-leeze. Next:Three days after a mostly gaffe-free debate performance, the Alaska governor fumbled during a speech in which she praised U.S. soldiers for “fighting terrorism and protecting us and our democratic values”.
“They are also building schools for the Afghan children so that there is hope and opportunity in our neighboring country of Afghanistan,” she told several hundred supporters at a fundraising event in San Francisco.
The gaffe could add fuel to comedians and late-night talk show hosts who have seized on her linguistic infelicities to portray her as someone not to be taken seriously.
Animals Face 'Bleak' Future A new international study finds that one quarter of the world's mammals are at risk of extinction. That one made me cry. My frustration level is nearly at its peak. Next:
Joe Biden is apparently canceling all campaign events for another two days, if I read correctly this morning when my Internets were still working. I can't even copy and paste this one due to tech issues, but I do have a link, and I did read it somewhere. Hopefully this link will verify what I thought I read. Did I mention I hate the Internets?

Bucky, this will be my FOURTH comment to you... My gmail isn't working. I can receive but I can't send.
My Internets are completely messed up.
And I left a message on your cell, but you don't listen to those, so I give up.
Help? Anyone? Bueller?
Just saw your comments.
And I do -- eventually listen to comments on my cell. But you block your number so I never now it is you calling. I don't answer blocked numbers usually.
Was out at Boy Wonder's soccer game. His team won, 4-3. He scored all four points. He was on fire! I can brag, 'cuz we all know he didn't get any of that from clutzy me. Well, and he's adopted, of course.
Oh, and gmail has really be sucking lately.
It's not gmail, it's my nets. It's upstairs, it's almost every site. Grrrrr and a half.
But you should know it's me who's calling! We have ESP! That secret "something" that gay/straight lovers have! Waaah!
And yay T!!!
Poor woman. Need help? Anything an IT dude can do? I have one in my home, ya know?
I was thinking about Joe Biden's sad week while I was picking up my son from school today. As he was walking toward me, I was thinking, "Damn, I could never imagine him walking away from me and into a war zone." And, with the death of Biden's mother-in-law too...it's been a really sad week for him and his family. Whew. They really do deserve a break.
Pat Buchanan is an idiot. (Rachel's show)
Keith did a special comment tonight - he got a little too cutesy for my tastes (IOW it wasn't done in as serious a tone as others have been) but it was still effective.
I don't know if I'd characterize that much biting sarcasm as "cutesy", but what the hey! Keith was on a roll! :)
Pat Buchanan gets so desperate to sell his point, he sounds like a turbine overworking. That increasingly high pitch sets off the neighbor's dog across the street! LOL
And everybody knows Afghanistan is somewhere next to Baja Californistan and Mexilvania -- or is it between Moosylvania and Frostbite Falls? Well, whatever.
My thoughts for this morning:
I can't stand Sarah's screechy voice and it seems McCain has lost his testicular fortitude cause his voice is becoming just as screechy as Sarah's.
Next thought: When Biden cancels his campaigning he cancels it. Unlike when McCain canceled his campaign - it was just a bunch of photo-ops. I remember him walking through the halls of congress like he was actually getting something done. Nah - nothing got done, it was all just a photo-op.
Also: When Obama talks about health care and people having to cut their meds in half cause they can't afford them - Well I am there and had to cut way lower than half. Last night my heart was pounding outside of my chest. I really want Obama to win because he knows what we are dealing with and with that knowledge he will work to fix it.
And what's this with McCain wanting to cut back on Medicare and Medicaid? He does not give a crap about us. I honestly don't know why he is running for President.
Oh yeah - one more thing - Buchanan seems to have a hard-on for this Sarah Palin. Oh boy - this is total insanity.
