I think a lot of thinking Republicans (there are a few) know this party is going off the deep end. My Republican sister despises cain and (especially)Pqalin, and if she votes st all it will be Democratic.
"Thinking Republicans" will not fall for the lowball tactics to which the McCain campaign has stooped.
Sadly, McCain/Palin seem to have forgotten about thinking Republicans altogether.
