Merge church and state much, IWRC* Palin? Via turneresq at DKos:
What she didn't tell worshippers gathered at the Wasilla Assembly of God church in her hometown was that her appearance that day came courtesy of Alaskan taxpayers, who picked up the $639.50 tab for her airplane tickets and per diem fees.
An Associated Press review of the Republican vice presidential candidate's record as mayor and governor reveals her use of elected office to promote religious causes, sometimes at taxpayer expense and in ways that blur the line between church and state.
Since she took state office in late 2006, the governor and her family have spent more than $13,000 in taxpayer funds to attend at least 10 religious events and meetings with Christian pastors, including Franklin Graham, the son of evangelical preacher Billy Graham, records show.
Welcome to the world of Ms. Toast.

But that's not important now. What's important is that Obama knew a guy.
On Daily Kos, an interesting article about the building of the Palin's house, and how it coincided with the building of the super new sports complex, and how Todd Palin says he built it with the help of some friends!!!
Hope we have some investigative reporters out there who could do some follow up, do you have any Alaskan bloggers?
Same old politics Palin, except she is too dumb to play it well. If she were truly a skilled politician there would be no Troopergate trail among her other misteps. What is even more disturbing about her is that she isn't even a very good small time politician.
There's no attempt to show Palin for what she is -- a fraud, liar and lawbreaker. The Republican controlled press is only interested in promoting a presidential campaign that is ending too soon for them. As soon as Obama gets elected, they'll have no forum to spead their propaganda. So the more they can make this contest competitive, the more money they make. D.
Please send this to CNN, ABC, NBC, and PBS. Ask why this and Palin's husband connection to that anti-American group and Palin's visits to it are not given equal time with Ayers. If enough of us complain, especially if we offer to boycott them and their sponsors, we will get some action -- I know, I'm in the media myself.
Cynhome, if you're in the media, you'd have more success sending this than we would.
Go ahead and copy it, link to it, whatever it takes. Be our guest.
