Here's an excerpt that stood out to me, although it's not typical of the piece. It stood out because he managed to crystallize a few of the glaring contrasts between the candidates in one sentence:
Voters are looking for a leader who might help rescue them, not a reckless gambler whose lurching responses to the economic meltdown (a campaign “suspension,” a mortgage-buyout stunt that changes daily) are as unhinged as his wanderings around the debate stage.He even managed a lurch reference.
