Why in the world is MSNBC treating John Ziegler as someone who has something important to say? Ugh.

Tea Party tries to unload Ziegler's unsold Palin DVDs
By GottaLaff
It seems Ziegler had a few thousand DVDs left over. Marketing troubles, John?
Guess nobody believes that he has the "real story" after all. Or cares.
Who's John Ziegler? Why, he's this guy:
Via an e-mail, we see that Ziegler tries to dump his leftovers into the waste receptacle of choice:
A message to all members of Tea Party Nation
Conservative documentary filmmaker John Ziegler has created "Media Malpractice... How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted," which tells the real story of the 2008 election and its aftermath. The film features an exclusive, news-making interview with Governor Sarah Palin from her home in Wasilla (the uncut version of which is a special feature on the "Media Malpractice" DVD).John has appeared on the Today Show, The View, The O'Reilly Factor, Glenn Beck, Hannity, Greta, CNN, MSNBC and many other outlets and created quite a stir in his quest to correct the historical record with regard to how the new media influenced the election of Barack Obama and the destruction of Sarah Palin's candidacy.
"Media Malpractice" has ben called an "Absolute Must-See!" by the Media Research Center. You can hear Sarah Palin herself praise the film by clicking here and listen to Rush Limbaugh do the same here. Now, as a member of Tea Party Nation you can get your own copy of this highly informative and entertaining DVD (which includes the famous "Obama Voter Video" as a special feature) for the incredibly low price of just $7, plus shipping.Even better than the low price is that for each DVD you purchase, $2 will go directly to the Tea Party Nation! It's a perfect win-win for conservatives.
Remember - use the discount code TPN to get this DVD at a special discount - and in doing so you'll ensure a donation is made to Tea Party Nation!

John Ziegler: Palin book "by far the best book and greatest literary achievement by a political figure in my lifetime.”
By GottaLaff
Look who's back! Remember John "I make failed Palin-kiss-ass films when I'm not a loser on a dating show" (that's a link to our exclusive story/video) Ziegler? Still don't know who he is? Here are a few more reminders: Link link link link.
Now he can add Palin book critic worshipper to his resume. Via Media Matters:
“For many reasons, this is by far the best book and greatest literary achievement by a political figure in my lifetime.”Here's my review of his review, "whether he wants it or not":
“I strongly believe that if every Republican primary voter reads this book, Sarah Palin will win the 2012 nomination in a landslide, whether she wants it or not.And he wants to be taken seriously. Seriously?

John Ziegler Offers Olbermann $100K To Debate After ‘Crush on Palin’ Remark
By GottaLaff
The above video is a TPC exclusive. Story here... just to give you a peek at who Ziegler is when he's not daring his mental superiors to debates.
And here is the Countdown segment in question:
Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy
Via Mediaite, here is John Ziegler's reaction to the Countdown segment, in part. Follow the link for the whole thing, it's well worth it:
Where do I begin? My head is swimming with Zieglerisms.First, if Olbermann really had ANY interest in knowing what motivated this (which he asks his not even tangential guest about several times) why didn’t he just ask me about it? If he was afraid I would destroy him in a live interview (which of course I would) why not do one on tape? If he didn’t want to give me the face time, why not at least speak to me off the air?
[...] At one point Olbermann claims that I am motivated (bizarrely, moments after substantiating some of my other inquires of Keene) by “defending a crush.” For the record, my passion for defending Sarah Palin has nothing to do with any of her womanly qualities.
This may shock people, but my defense of her is not even politically based. It is motivated purely by the level of unfairness of the coverage of her. [...]
[...] If he has me on the show to debate Palin-related issues, live, for a full hour, I will pay his favorite charity $100,000, which is more than any profit I am ever likely to make from my film “Media Malpractice.” This offer is 100% real.
Let's start with this: The chances of Johnny Z destroying Keith in a live interview-- or anything else for that matter-- is the same as Barbie McLipSchmutz speaking intelligibly. Ain't gonna happen. Ever.
Next: Keith speak to Johnny Z on tape or off air? Has Ziegler seen his own videos? He has no idea how to carry on a rational conversation, so why would Keith bother? Then there's that whole credibility thing, so any attempt at real conversation would be valuable minutes spent that Keith would never get back.
Next: Womanly qualities... I'm not touching that one. Well, maybe a quip about Johnny Z sharing-a-Rich Lowry-suddenly-sitting-up-straight-moment would be fun, but nah... I'll walk away from that one. Not worth the trouble.
Next: This isn't political? Really? It'a all about unfair coverage? The corporate media drooled all over Barbie for months, nearly as much as Lowry did. Not only did they sit up straight, they sat up and begged! It wasn't until Palin's refusal to do interviews-- and then, when she did, she spiraled into drastic Bring'EmToYaInWhatRespectCharlieFail-- that the press balked. She hasn't done herself any favors, Johnny. Delusional much?
And finally: Mr. Z? You'd do better to donate the money and spare yourself any further embarrassment. Think how great it would feel to actually accomplish something.

VIDEO- Rightie v. Rightie: David Keene Threatens to Punch John Ziegler at WCPAC
By GottaLaff
The other day, I posted this about John Ziegler getting kicked out-- again-- of an event. Well guess what, kiddies! We've got more video of what Ziegler does best: Make an idiot out of himself! Weee!
Ziegler attended the Western Conservative Political Action Conference in California this weekend, where he sat down for a scheduled interview with Keene. Ziegler began by telling Keene that his criticisms of Palin “sound like Keith Olbermann.” [...]
The interview grew heated as Ziegler began lobbing personal attacks at Keene [...] Upset over the direction the interview had taken, Keene got up and walked away, which led to a public showdown at the conference.
Isn't he special? He should have his own cable network, The Ass Channel.
Oh, and thank you for playing, "Rushpublics Eating Their Own!" (h/t: Stephanie Miller Show)

VIDEO: Palin fan John Ziegler Talks About Western CPAC Confrontation Before Being Kicked Out
By GottaLaff
Look who's back! You all remember John "I make failed Palin-kiss-ass films when I'm not a loser on a dating show" Ziegler, right? Just in case you've forgotten, I've provided the video of the show Mr. Laffy worked on (amazing story that goes with it here), a Ziegler classic. Here are a few more reminders: Link link link link.
Well now I have one more link to add to his repertoire of stupid:
Activist, reporter, fillmaker and broadcaster talks about his confrontation just moments earlier at Western CPAC.He gets kicked out of events a lot, yet he swears he's done nothing to provoke that. You know what they say about insanity: It's doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results.
John was later escorted out of the conference by police.

Sarah the Quitter Palin to appear in Simi Valley
By GottaLaff
Via TBogg:
Republican Women Federated of Simi Valley said in a statement that Palin is scheduled to appear at the group's 50th anniversary gala at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on Aug. 8.
Gee, I hope she doesn't pull out of that commitment, too. Simians (Simi-ites?) would be so very saddened. Then again, on the bright side, maybe that would spur another ethics complaint.
Group spokeswoman Pat Saraceno said the invitation-only event is closed to the media.
[...]
Saraceno said she respected Palin's right to change her plans at any time. She said in an e-mail that correspondence with the governor's office has been "positive but cautious," but she added, "we know she will come."
So now Rushpublic fingers are crossing all across the Big Valley: Pleeeeeeease let Sarah honor her commitment! If only Sarah the Quitter would pinky swear, that would solve everything.
If you build it... she will come. If you televise it... she will actually show up.
Here's the kicker:
As you all know, I've become a sort of Ziegler aficianado, as can be verified here: Link. Link link link link. After he appeared on Mr. Laffy's show, I couldn't resist nailing Ziegler to the wall every chance I got.The master of ceremonies for the event will be conservative radio talk-show host and filmmaker John Ziegler.

Sarah Palin's not just a quitter -- she's a professional quitter. And taxpayers get the tab
By GottaLaff
Palin's resignation is likely going to wind up costing in the vicinity of $200,000 or more, because a special session is going to be required to name a successor to the lieutenant governor's post.I posted about her reportedly false reasons for quitting here.
There you go. A very costly serial quitter. That should look great on her resume. All this for the sake of someone who already has a history of quitting on the state when she hit rough sledding -- but using the splash she made from doing so as a stepping-stone to higher office.
John Ziegler, Palin's Biggest Fan, dropped that point in passing the other night on The O'Reilly Factor -- as though it were an admirable thing to do, of course. [See video at C and L]
Crisitunity at Swing State Project explored this in a bit further detail:
...[S]he was chair of Frank Murkowski's Oil and Gas Commission. How long was she on this Commission? Less than a year... until she quit in January 2004 with a big public huff (leaving the Commission in the lurch with only one member), saying "the experience was taking the 'oomph' out of her passion for government service and she decided to quit rather than becoming bitter." She publicly cited her frustration with being unable to be all straight-talky and mavericky about the corruption and backbiting on the Commission, but the resignation also came at a very convenient time for switching over to lay the groundwork for her successful 2006 gubernatorial run.
[...] The best part is that the taxpayers pick up the tab for it, too. Apparently, "what's right for the people of Alaska" is to give them the shaft -- now that she's "too big" for them, especially.

You could say the big "winner" in the Palin-Letterman matchup was Ziegler since he received unbelievable levels of undeserved publicity. Once again, the "losers" were journalism and the American people.Enough teasing, just go read. It's exquisite.

AUDIO: John Ziegler Reacts to getting cut off during MSNBC Interview
By GottaLaff
And what better person to interview Ziegler than John Gibson, right? See if you can stomach the entire eight-plus minutes.
It includes Sarah Palin's statement responding to David Letterman. I covered Letterman's own response here.
Here's the original post, with the video of Ziegler getting cut by Contessa Brewer.

It's a sight to behold! Contessa Brewer was Klassy wit a Kapital K when she told her techs to cut Ziegler's mic when he hurled gratuitous insults, interrupted, wouldn't respond to questions, you name it.

VIDEOS: Palin calls Letterman ‘pathetic’ after ’slutty flight attendant’ joke
By GottaLaff
Children, children! David, Sarah Louise, am I going to have to turn this blog around?!
In case you forgot who John Ziegler is: Link. Link link link link. But the first link's the best. Wink. That was a Link Wink. I'll shut up now.In his number two highlight of Palin’s New York City trip, Dave pranged that Palin “bought makeup at Bloomingdale’s to update her slutty flight attendant look.”
Speaking to right-wing radio show host John Zeigler on Tuesday, Palin called Letterman’s shot “pathetic.”
Dave’s number one highlight was that Palin “especially enjoyed not appearing on Letterman.”

By GottaLaff
Just in case you've forgotten who this schmucko is, I've provided the video of the show Mr. Laffy worked on (amazing story that goes with it here), a Ziegler classic. Here are a few more reminders: Link link link link. Now here's the latest:
Do you remember this interview between John Ziegler and David Shuster? How about this one between Ziegler and Matt Lauer? Or maybe you remember when Ziegler was recently arrested outside an event featuring Katie Couric.Another sequel! One more chance for him to embarrass himself. I'm all a-flutter.Tomorrow we talk to Ziegler live on the mediabistro.com Morning Media Menu about these confrontations and more. He's currently touring the country with his film "Media Malpractice," about the 2008 presidential election. We'll ask him what he thinks of media coverage since Pres. Obama has taken office.

Update to the latest (John) Ziegler Follies
By GottaLaff
This guy's entire professional life is an epic fail. If you need further proof, watch him in this dating video. You remember, the one in which he gets rejected? Yeah, that one. This afternoon, the Huffington Post spoke to James Grant, the Executive Director of Media Relations for USC. Their version of events goes a little counter to Ziegler's narrative.
According to Grant, in the days before his eventual appearance on campus, Ziegler publicly announced his intention to demonstrate at the Couric event. USC was happy to accomodate Ziegler, and provided him with a designated area, where he could register his protest, be seen by event attendees and the student body, and pass out whatever materials he wished. These arrangements were ready upon Ziegler's arrival.
However, according to Grant, Ziegler showed up for the event making unexpected demands. He was no longer a demonstrator. Now, he was a journalist, with cameramen in tow, insistent that he had a right to enter the event. Told that the event was invitation only, Ziegler contended that he had the right to range up and down the entryway and stick microphones into the faces of attendees.
Said Grant, "The University both respects and facilitates the right to free speech, but we reserve the right to set reasonable ground rules that respect the rights of everyone, and provide for the safety and security of the University community." Ziegler, opting against the ground rules that had been mutually agreed to, was given the choice of leaving campus or being arrested, and eventually chose to leave campus.
VIDEO-- Sarah Palin's wannabe filmmaker John Ziegler: "I'm just as much a journalist as Katie Couric"
By GottaLaff
If you are trying to remember who John Ziegler is, go here, here, and here. Warning: Memories of Ziegler may result in PTSD, but it's a chance you'll have to take. Hint: He's the one who went on Mr. Laffy's dating show... and lost. Now he's making a fool of himself again, and I'm guessing he's still dateless:
Human publicity stunt and all-around douchebag, John Ziegler, goes to USC and hilarity ensues as John squirms, giggles, and fails to understand the concept of private property while acting like the smirky semi-employed always-getting-fired asshole that he is.

Another Alaskan blogger's p.o.v.: Hate mail from Team Sarah (Palin)
By GottaLaff
You'll have to read this to believe it, but here's a tiny morsel:
Now by all means, go read the rest of this not-child/work-safe post. It's a doozy. When hate email started rolling into my inbox, I needed only look to one of the many posts on Team Sarah calling for my head to find contributors to that onslaught:
Reply by Douglas TimbieIs there a lawyer in the group? Can the frivolous charge-filers Andree McLeod, Zane Henning, Linda Kellen Biegel etc. be given a dose of their own medicine with counter law suits seeking restitution for harrassment. Doesn't Alaska have laws to reimburse the governor when these suits are found to be without merit.
If not, can we get pictures of these locusts, email addresses, and the home addresses, place of work, with maps distributed so these people can be given the Acorn AIG treatment. We should be very pleasant and non-threatening, but flood their emails with thousands of complaints...
Here's a sampling of the hate mails I've gotten, the majority of which were anything but "pleasant":
**WARNING: THE EMAILS AFTER THE FOLD ARE NOT WORK OR CHILD SAFE**
Finished? Swell. Now everyone has seen for themselves what happens if you dare exercise your first amendment rights around conservative wingnuts.
Speaking of Governor Crassy McClassless, here's another assignment, if you're so inclined: Go read this and this. They are two very revelatory pieces over at HuffPo about our bestest friend and date from hell, the one, the only Palin (wannabe) filmmaker John Ziegler, brought to us via an e-mail from my pal Mark Karlin over at BuzzFlash.

John Ziegler and other Right Wing Radio Jocks canned

Love love LOVE seeing Melanie Morgan out of a job, but now Ziegler will have more time to pollute up our teevees and "reality" shows. h/t WT.
But for all the anti-tax swagger and the occasional stunts by personalities like KFI's John and Ken, the reality is that conservative talk radio in California is on the wane. The economy's downturn has depressed ad revenue at stations across the state, thinning the ranks of conservative broadcasters. For that and other reasons, stations have dropped the shows of at least half a dozen radio personalities and scaled back others, in some cases replacing them with cheaper nationally syndicated programs.
Casualties include Mark Larson in San Diego, Larry Elder and John Ziegler in Los Angeles, Melanie Morgan in San Francisco, and Phil Cowen and Mark Williams in Sacramento.

VIDEO: Palin filmmaker John Ziegler's meltdown: "You are a sackless lying piece of crap... you have no balls."
By GottaLaff
Every time this gasbag gets in front of a camera, he spews even more gag-inducing bibble-babble, if that's even possible. Here's a thought: Try helping yourself for a change, John. You might start by staying out of camera range for more than 24 hours, a bad habit you and your pal Limelight Palin share.
Wasn't proving himself to be the worst blind date ever on national television embarrassing enough for him? I guess not, considering the obliviously weak arguments in his own defense.
Speaking of oblivious, this wannabe Spielberg once again shows himself to have zero awareness of how video cameras actually record what you say and do, and how those recordings get recycled on the Internets for all to see.
Look! Here's one of those recordings now!
