Not Joe the Not Plumber hopes Palin not running in 2012

By GottaLaff

Not Joe is not hoping for Not Author to not stay out of the 2012 race:
"I hope she doesn't (run) because I think she could do a lot for America outside of office," Wurzelbacher said. "And I think she could rally Americans to get together and make some changes from the grassroots level. I think she could be an incredible rallying point, and I think that's where she could serve America best."
She could do a lot for America outside of America.
"Mainstream media really painted me as a fool," he said. "They did their best to discredit me as a tax cheat, a wife beater, a racist. You know, they said a lot of nasty things about me, and all of them untrue."
I seem to have misjudged the corporate media. There's more accuracy in their reporting than I realized.

Not Joe looks to me to be a future Lou Dobbs voter:
"Do I think McCain was the answer?" he asked. "Absolutely not, especially with the bill he tried to pass with legalizing all the illegal immigrants. He was just pandering to the Hispanic vote, period."
Not Joe is not good with facts... and not inclusive. And that's not American.

Not Joe the Not Plumber makes $10,000 for 8-minute speeches

By GottaLaff

http://www.newscorpse.com/Pix/Humor/joe-the-journo.jpg

Not Joe, the Rushpublics' idea of a man of the people (and by people, they mean hate-filled, fear mongering, tea tantruming, violent mobbers), is getting rich off of... the people:
Dave Weigel, reporting from the RightOnline conference in Pittsburgh, has a tidbit about just how lucrative it still is to be Joe the Plumber.

But the activists found some unity listening to Joe Wurzelbacher, still a sought-after conservative speaker who can charge as much as $10,000 for eight-minute speeches, 11 months after he argued about tax rates with then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) during a campaign stop in Ohio. He was welcomed, and mobbed for photos, as the first American to get the kind of full-bore smear campaign that was now directed at “Tea Party” activists and Flip camera-wielding conservatives going to town halls to tell congressmen that they were shredding the Constitution. “Let’s try to make this an American movement,” said Wurzelbacher, “not a Republican movement, not a Democrat movement. You guys are empowering Americans again. Don’t forget that.”

That's their guy! Be proud, Rushpublics.

Meghan McCain: ‘Joe the Plumber — you can quote me — is a dumbass.’

By GottaLaff

http://topnews.in/files/meghan-mccain_0.jpghttp://thinkprogress.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/joethep.gif

Not Joe the Not Plumber gets smacked down by Not John Sidney:
[...] McCain took a crack at a man her father made famous during last year’s presidential campaign, Joe the Plumber:

Yet even as the balance begins to shift, the old guard is still yapping in the foreground. Shortly before McCain sat for this interview, Samuel Wurzelbacher, aka Joe the Plumber, gave an interview to Christianity Today in which he complained about “queers” and declared, “I wouldn’t have them anywhere near my children.” Unprompted, McCain rails against the man her father’s presidential campaign touted as an American everyman and made a showpiece in the weeks before the election. “Joe the Plumber — you can quote me — is a dumbass. He should stick to plumbing.”

If only she'd been that amusing on Real Time with Bill Maher. You can quote me.

VIDEO-- Joe The Plumber: Immigrants Should Get ‘The Hell Out Of Our Damn Country’

By GottaLaff

Not Joe the Not Plumber, the guy who McCain/Palin chose to represent America, does it again. Couple this with how well Miss Personality Disorder is doing lately, and, well, J Sid McCain and his impeccable judgment, and there you have it: The face(s) of the Rushpublic Party of D'oh!

While protesting government spending at Houston’s Independence Day Tea Party, Joe “the Plumber” Wurzelbacher stated that American taxpayer dollars would be best spent on the mass deportation of 12 million undocumented immigrants [...]

Wurzelbacher dedicated a private interview to saying that he’s tired of the government “sticking its hand” in his “back-pocket” and urging the government to “pull its head out of its butt.” Apparently he’s against bailouts and the stimulus bill, but he completely supports spending approximately $206 billion over five years, or $41.2 billion annually, to hunt down and deport all the undocumented immigrants living in the US. Joe probably doesn’t realize that such a policy would also mean a loss of $1.8 trillion in annual spending and $651.5 billion in annual output.[...]

The Anti-Defamation League warned that white supremacists and neo-Nazi hate groups were planning to take advantage of the tea parties to disseminate their anti-Semitic and anti-immigrant views and recruit new members.

The Big Tent is missing what's left of it's pathetic, diminutive, limp little pole. Shrinkage.

VIDEO: Tea Partiers joke about waterboarding President Obama

By GottaLaff

Those "grassrooty" types at their pathetic Tea Pities don't seem to realize how unfunny (read: racist), unsafe, and unAmerican they are, or maybe they do:

Tea party organizers and participants have repeatedly insisted that their nationwide protests today are completely non-partisan and not meant to be anti-Obama. However, there didn’t seem to be any anti-Republican or anti-Bush signs at the protests. Instead, not only were there signs/clothing protest Obama’s policies, but some had violent or racist rhetoric.

Ironically, the AP reports that Greg Budell — a talk radio host in Montgomery, AL — said that the tea parties could “have the same impact that Montgomerian Rosa Parks had when she refused to move to the back of a city bus during segregation.”
I've already posted Oliver's photo. Now Dave Weigel from the Washington Independent reveals another sign reading, “homey don’t play dat“:

Democracy in action... if you're a white Rushpublic.

Real plumbers rip Joe the Plumber for shilling against the Employee Free Choice Act

By GottaLaff

http://media.canada.com/24be34eb-ecfe-4969-88c2-5aa898db4139/plumberorr1.JPG
First off, Joe (Sam) the un-licensed Not Plumber should not, I repeat, should not, be anyone's role model... ever. But if someone is that desperate, then that someone most likely resembles this person or this... whatever it is.

Next, Worser-bacher, shut the hell up. And finally, shut the hell up about this in particular:
Greg Sargent reports that Joe the Plumber by the anti-labor Americans for Prosperity to do “a series of events throughout Pennsylvania rallying opposition to the Employee Free Choice Act.” Here’s why Americans for Prosperity spokesperson Mary Ellen Burke said Joe was chosen:

“The public loves Joe the Plumber,” the spokesperson, Mary Ellen Burke, claimed to me. “They see him as a role model.”

Asked whether Joe the Plumber had any particular knowledge or expertise about EFCA that might explain the decision to enlist him, Burke said that he was being enlisted to provide a “grassroots perspective” and “the working perspective” on the measure.

Pressed on whether Joe the Plumber has any particular claim to being a spokesperson on the issue, Burke replied that “he represents the American worker.”

United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry (UA) political and legislative director Rick Terven:

“Real plumbers want and need the Employee Free Choice Act as a way to empower themselves to join a union, without fear of intimidation or losing their jobs. Joe the Plumber doesn’t speak for real plumbers.”

Joe the Fraud speaks? I recall a few grunts and even some feeble attempts at political grandstanding, but actual intelligible speech? Uh-uh.

Joe the Not-Plumber claims he was on Obama's enemies list

By GottaLaff

http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/news/captioncall/1028joe-the-plumber-dog.jpg
Awww, poor Joe Sam the Plumber Nutcase. Everyone reach for a Kleenex on 3. Ready? One. Two. Three:
Judicial Watch formally filed a federal civil rights law suit on behalf of Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, Joe the Plumber today. It alleges that "officials of the State of Ohio violated Mr. Wurzelbacher's constitutional rights by illegally accessing confidential information from its official databases," per Thomas Fitton, president of Judicial Watch.
Okay, maybe that has some merit, maybe not. But that's not important now. What is important is this:

"It is our contention that there is an open question whether Joe the Plumber was number one on Obama's enemies list," Fitton said, referring to the alleged White House enemies list including Rush Limbaugh. "We already have evidence that government officials were misusing government resources to, in our view, to try harm our client for speaking out against Mr. Obama."

What?! Why, that's outrageous! Team Obama has... an enemies list? With enemies on it? Like that crazy Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and the mass murderer Osama bin Laden, and... a fake plumber?

Fitton said four days after Wurzelbacher's interaction with Obama on Oct. 12, 2008, the three highest ranking employees of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services at the time held a meeting where they discussed Joe the Plumber. Fitton also said the three Ohio employees, who Fitton said are "believed to have been supporters of Obama's presidential campaign," then instructed agency personel to search confidential databases for information about Wurzelbacher.
Those awful supporters! I bet they were sitting around dissing Sam's wardrobe and... and... choice of scalp-care products. That is like, so Facebook!

Wait, what? The media was in on this, too? Totally talking trash about, like, Sam and stuff? That's it. Media? If this happens one more time, I'm coming over there and confiscating your Blackberries!

"Mainstream media has done their best to discredit everything and anything about me," Wurzelbacher said, telling reporters he can no longer find work as a plumber after this incident. "I'm actually making less than what I made as a plumber. He [Obama] has damaged me in that aspect as well."

Curse you, Prez O! Curse you and your kind! The horrific economy is now affecting Sam's plumberless jobs! And it's all your fault!

Wurzelbacher said allegations of not having a plumbing license is not to blame. Instead, he said, people may like his work but say he overcharged, etc if they do not agree with him politically. Wurzelbacher is now doing some reporting work for Pajamas Media.

I guess becoming an instant celebrity hasn't paid off. Hmm? Whazzat? Sam has a book deal? Man, that is rough!

Fitton said this suit is for all Americans who dare to question an elected official or candidate.

"Anyone watching what happened to Joe the Plumber is going to think twice about asking a question of a presidential candidate in the future," Fitton said.

Yeah! And if anyone knows about asking questions of Prez O, it's Henrietta Hughes. All she got out of it was a hug from the president himself and a place to live. She really ought to give some serious thought to suing him.

Joe the Plumber suggests some members of Congress should be shot.

This is the face of the GOP? Huge kudos to Think Progress for even getting near to this crazed neanderthal.

Back in the day, really, when people would talk about our military in a poor way, somebody would shoot ‘em. And there’d be nothing said about that, because they knew it was wrong. You don’t talk about our troops. You support our troops. Especially when our congressmen and senators sit there and say bad things in an ongoing conflict.

CPAC: Not Even Conservatives Want To See Joe the Plumber

By GottaLaff

Then what is he, a seat-filler? Via Wonkette:

Joe-he-Plumber spoke to 1/4 full room. It was pathetic. I got video of how fucking empty the room was. I tried to make an echo off the walls but I got yelled at. Video to come.
If I get a Tweet alert about the video, I'll grab and post it.

Joe the Plumber: "I don’t know if the American public deserve me."

By GottaLaff

wurze.jpg

You know what the American public doesn't deserve? The American public doesn't deserve any more exposure to this imbecilic, know-nothing nimrod:
When asked if he has a career in politics, [Joe the Plumber] Wurzelbacher said, “I don’t know if the American public deserve me, but my son definitely deserves my time now.”

GOP staffer invites Joe the Plumber to stimulus meeting

By GottaLaff

Must. Pick. Jaw Off. Floor:
Politico reports that House GOP congressional aides decided to invite Wurzelbacher to a meeting on the stimulus in hopes that it will attract some media attention:
Wurzelbacher, who became a household name during the presidential election, will be focusing his talk on the proposed stimulus package. He’s apparently not a fan of the economic rescue package, according to members of the group. [...]

“In case you weren’t planning to attend CWG tomorrow morning, you might want to reconsider because Joe the Plumber will be joining us!” Kimberly Wallner, an aide to South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, wrote in a message to her e-mail list this afternoon.

Hot diggity dog! A special guest star! What would a deadly serious discussion about our failed economy be without the insights of a fraud aching for media attention? Just imagine the pearls of wisdom dripping from the big fat mouth of a guy who has no expertise at all!

Steve Benen:

“This is what it’s come to for Republican staffers in Congress. In the midst of an economic crisis, and after balking at a stimulus package, the GOP is turning to an unlicensed plumber/campaign prop to discuss legislative strategy on economic policy.”

Next thing you know, they'll bring in Bristol Palin.

As much as I hate to subject you to this kind of thing, I feel obligated to keep you informed:

Forgive me? No? Well, think of the fun you'll have! Imagine the confrontations between Beach Blanket Obama and Super Hero Sarah over media treatment! If only they'd come up with Self-Pitying Sarah and Joe the War Correspondent.

Please note the equal opportunity dollage: John Edwards in a "Rogue" tee, Biden in a "Joe the V.P." outfit, and Spitzer sporting a spiffy "No. 9" shirt. But what's up with Gramm-pa McCain looking like Joe the Hypocrite's twin?

Joe Plumber: Media Shouldn't Report War

Too sad to be as funny as it deserves. G-d forbid people have "opinions" on war. I really didn't think he was this stupid.

VIDEO: Joe the Plumber goes to Israel... as a war correspondent

By GottaLaff

I wish I was kidding about what I'm about to post. MSNBC just said that Joe the Fraud is traveling to Israel to-- hold on to your hats-- report news from the p.o.v. of "the regular guy".

This clown makes Jeff Gannon look like a pro. Well, Gannon was a pro, but just not when it came to journalism.

Here's the print story:
Joe the Plumber has found a new job: Intrepid Middle East war correspondent.

America's most-famous plumber since Watergate is apparently heading to Israel as a war correspondent for a conservative Web site so he can let "'Average Joes' share their story" during the onging war with Hamas in Gaza.

Joe demonstrated his foreign policy acumen during the presidential campaign when he said putting Barack Obama in the White House would mean "the death of Israel."

In a later interview with Fox News, which you can watch below, Joe told Shep Smith: "Listen, you don't want my opinion on foreign policy. I know just enough about foreign policy to probably be dangerous."

Wurzelbacher is dangerous alright. And that anyone could possibly take him seriously enough to send him to the Middle East during a crisis of this magnitude is mind-boggling.

What next, Grandma Palin as ambassador to Russia?

Joe the Plumber: McCain 'appalled me'

By GottaLaff

Joe Wurzelbacher lashed out at former GOP presidential nominee John McCain Tuesday, the man who made Wurzelbacher famous as “Joe the Plumber.”

Wurzelbacher told conservative radio host Glenn Beck that he felt “dirty” after “being on the campaign trail and seeing some of the things that take place.”

Recalling a conversation he had with McCain about the $700 billion financial industry bailout in September, Wurzelbacher said: “When I was on the bus with him, I asked him a lot of questions about the bailout because most Americans did not want that to happen.”

“I asked him some pretty direct questions,” he continued. “Some of the answers you guys are gonna receive — they appalled me, absolutely. I was angry. In fact I wanted to get off the bus after I talked to him.”
You mean to tell me... the love affair... is... is... over? Sniffle.
Asked why he didn’t leave McCain’s campaign if he was “appalled” by the candidate, Wurzelbacher said, “honestly, because the thought of Barack Obama as president scares me even more.”
Must be that whole terrorist thing. And BlagoGate must have him shivering in his boots, 'cause Blagojevich was, you know, pallin' around with pals who palled around with other pals who were vaguely associated with pals of Obama's.

Suck it up, "Joe". Obama won. Does that appall (or should I say, "a-pal") you?

When the illiterate write books: Joe, Sarah, this one's for you

By GottaLaff

Typing Without a Clue is the apt title of a piece in today's New York Times. Joe the Bamboozler and Scrambled Sarah have book deals. That's enough to make anyone's head explode, but Timothy Egan (thankfully subbing for MoDo today) tries to talk us down:
I have a question for Joe: Do you want me to fix your leaky toilet?

I didn’t think so. And I don’t want you writing books. Not when too many good novelists remain unpublished. Not when too many extraordinary histories remain unread. Not when too many riveting memoirs are kicked back at authors after 10 years of toil. Not when voices in Iran, North Korea or China struggle to get past a censor’s gate. [...]

With a résumé full of failure, he now thinks he can join the profession of Mark Twain, George Orwell and Joan Didion.
I'm not talked down yet. I'm not even talked sideways.

Next up may be Sarah Palin, who is said to be worth nearly $7 million if she can place her thoughts between covers. Publishers: with all the grim news of layoffs and staff cuts at the venerable houses of American letters, can we set some ground rules for these hard times? Anyone who abuses the English language on such a regular basis should not be paid to put words in print.

Here’s Palin’s response, after Matt Lauer asked her when she knew the election was lost:

“I had great faith that, you know, perhaps when that voter entered that voting booth and closed that curtain that what would kick in for them was, perhaps, a bold step that would have to be taken in casting a vote for us, but having to put a lot of faith in that commitment we tried to articulate that we were the true change agent that would progress this nation.”

I have no idea what she said in that thicket of words.

When I write my TPC posts, even when I'm rushed, I actually try to sound coherent, and nearly always try to make a point (I say nearly always, because sometimes I depend on others to do that for me). But Scrambled Sarah apparently hasn't gotten a handle on that, yet she's getting millions and I'm humbly requesting donations from you, our generous readers.

Writing is hard, even for the best wordsmiths. Ernest Hemingway said the most frightening thing he ever encountered was “a blank sheet of paper.” And Winston Churchill called the act of writing a book “a horrible, exhaustive struggle, like a long bout of painful illness.” [...]

The idea that someone who stumbled into a sound bite can be published, and charge $24.95 for said words, makes so many real writers think the world is unfair. [...]

For the others — you friends of celebrities penning cookbooks, you train wrecks just out of rehab, you politicians with an agent but no talent — stop soaking up precious advance money.

I know: publishers say they print garbage so that real literature, which seldom makes any money, can find its way into print. True, to a point. But some of them print garbage so they can buy more garbage. [...]

I guess that’s why we have karaoke, for fantasy night. If only there was such a thing for failed plumbers, politicians or celebrities who think they can write.
And even some bloggers.
