No really, Nicole "I loves me some Dubya" Wallace really did say that, like on the record and stuff. From some actual coverage from the NYT-
Nicolle Wallace, a spokeswoman for Mr. McCain, said on Sunday night that Mr. McCain had not heard the broadcast of the event while in his motorcade and heard none of the questions. “The insinuation from the Obama campaign that John McCain, a former prisoner of war, cheated is outrageous,” Ms. Wallace said.

No where have I actually seen or heard that the "Obama Campaign" has insinuated anything like this. In the Times piece, it very clearly states that it is "Obama supporters," not Obama making the accusation.
I assume, using this logic, it's okay to denounce McCain for any insinuations coming from his camp that Obama is a murderer via the death list his "supporters" pass around the web?
"obama campaign" is not "obama supporters"?? wonder if they know that? And here they are just drowning in the kool-aid, just thinking they were "supporting" their messiah!
Anon, quit being a fucktard and masturbate somewhere else for a while. Okay sweetie?
He CHEATED on his first wife. Fuck this nonsense. I'm sick of hearing about the POW bullshit. What is he going to do as president besides start WWIII? Enough with Vietnam already. That war is OVER.
Clancy, what is this shit? Who is this Anon clown?? Do you think it's the same dim wit who called us "evil baby killers"?
Probably. It seems like a pretty lame way to spend your time, but he really seems to get off on it.
McCain camp goes apeshit--threatens NBC's Steve Capus. This isn't very Christian of them at all. They're playing the victim card from the top, middle and bottom of the deck. Jeepers.

Maybe I'm being particularly dense this evening, but can somebody explain to me the connection between being a POW and being honest?
I see. Once you're a POW, you lose the "lying gene" and are wholly, totally truthful all of the time. Amazing. It seems the only defense the Republicans can use for McCain is he's a former POW. And if he's elected, I guess all of us will be. D.
I think, David, the lesson is that torture makes people tell the truth for ever and ever amen.
McCain cheated when he was a POW -- specifically, in his own autobiography FAITH OF MY FATHERS, he admits offering and then giving valid and valuable military information to his captors so he could get medical treatment he wanted but which other POWs in his condition didn't get. He cheated then -- why should he stop now?
My dad was a WWII POW. In his case, the trauma didn't stunt him into permanent adolescent rebellion, or lead him to project past defeats upon the need to "win" . But he did lie and cheat, despite being a church goer. Therefore, I can say that war-time prison does not prevent lying and cheating, although I think in heavy doses it might warp healthy attitudes towards armed conflict.
The question that needs to be asked is... "Why was McCain late? He had no scheduled events holding him up from showing up on time."
It is irresponsible to be late for an appointment, especially when you have nothing going on ahead of time. Do you think he could have been late because he wanted to hear the first half of Obama's questions?
It needs to be asked.
