Of course not. Because straight-talking P.O.W.s and pastors don't lie. And the audience didn't pay $2000 to clap extra loud in support of their guy. And Orange County, CA (where I happened to have passed through yesterday) isn't skewed Republican either.
All in all, this was a fair and balanced forum, wouldn't you agree?

Pastor Warren just admitted he lied. And now we're supposed to believe that he's telling the truth about McCain NOT watching the first half hour or so? How'd they flip that coin if McCain wasn't even there? BULLSHIT, PURE BULLSHIT.

I've just spent the last forty five minutes buried at DailyKos reading about the McCain-Solzhenitsyn story, and i am really in a sour mood, snd then I read this, and now I'm bordering on revenge fantasy. No one messes with one of my favorite authors. NO ONE! YOU HEAR ME, JOHN McCRIBBER!!!!!

The Pastor just admitted he lied. On national TV, a pastor lied.
I guess it'd be news if it wasn't just expected at this point.
But nobody should just gloss over the fact that CNN just caught Warren in a flagrant lie that goes to the heart of the extremely questionable integrity of his debate.
Also, if the debate was rigged, and the pastor knew about it, then his bias makes his entire church a target for any IRS agent that has any integrity at all.
Political bias from Warren puts the tax exempt status of his church in peril. And cheating for McCain or helping McCain get away with cheating that night is political bias.
How can you ever trust someone who counts on being forgiven every Sunday? Wonder if this is the same kind of ministry that Rev McCain ran in the Hanoi Hilton?
I cannot believe what I just heard. No one was watching McC*ntry for the period preceeding the conversation,and yet we are to believe he was honouring the rules of the game? Give me a break people!! This is just simply too much!!

I just emailed K. Olbermann about this and begged that he cover it. I heard the interview by Rick Sanchez this afternoon. Rick Warren sounds as if he was really trying to minimize the whole thing. Warren made such an issue of both Obama and McCain being isolated and not knowing the questions in the lead up to this forum.
I remember thinking, when McCain was answering that he sure was quick with his answers, answering before Warren stopped talking. Now I know why.
I've been looking all afternoon and this is the first mention I've seen of it on the blogs.
1. Warren says he thought McCain was in the building.
2. In the next sentence he says he gave Obama a question in advance because McCain wasn't in the building.
Hmmmm... whoops. Warren isn't a very good liar. He did know McCain wasn't there.
And it bothered them enough that they "flat out asked him" about not being there and did he hear any of the questions.
So Warren did just lie. He did know McCain wasn't in the building when he said on air that he was in a "cone of silence." He lied on TV to millions of people in order to preserve the fake integrity of his sham debate.

CNN even took the story off it's website b/c the McCain campaign has gone apeshit and threatened them. So, naturally, CNN caved. McCain's campaign also sent a threatening letter to Steve Capus at NBC complaining about this story. I wonder if they'll fold like a cheap lawn chair too.
Total difference between Warren saying they had a sense of where the questions would be heading in advance of the "forum" vs complete black out from the 2nd to Go on stage. How could they have flipped a coin to see who goes first if Old John was sitting in his limo en route to the church while Obama was walking and talking on stage? Damn those damn liars.

Obama got to the forum on time, prepared to follow all the items that were negotiated in advance with Pastor Rick Warren and was told, "We had a coin toss with someone playing you and you lost and McCain decided to go last." I can imagine how steamed Obama & Co. were and then he has to go on TV and be respectful towards lying sack of sh*t Rick Warren.

I can just see how these strategy sessions went "ok, we know Obama is a thoughtful man - we'll give you the questions and prepare your answers to make you look concise & certain and have him look unsure"
