Palin is Pallin’ Around With Plagiarists?

By GottaLaff

http://images.huffingtonpost.com/gen/49101/thumbs/s-NEWT-GINGRICH-large.jpghttp://www.blogcdn.com/www.stylelist.com/blog/media/2008/09/sarah-palin-undies-450px.jpg

Ohhh, say it ain't so, Shmo, er, Sarah Louise! Copyin's just not playin' fair 'n' square, don'tcha know moreover too also... especially if you're copyin' Newtie:

[T]he plagiarist is none other than the Governor, herself.

Geoffrey Dunn over at Huffington Post read my transcript of Palin’s 17 minute introduction of Michael Reagan, and a little bell went off in his head. He had a strange feeling he’d heard all this somewhere before… [...]

I realized I had read some of this before. So I tracked down the original Gingrich-Shirley article, “Republicans Need to Relearn Lessons of the Reagan Revolution” which appeared in the Union Leader, November 1, 2005, and is also online.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Palin was accused by Daily Kos of plagiarizing a Hillary Clinton passage. In that instance it was, at worse, petty larceny; in this case, it’s grand theft.

Dunn goes on to compare passages of the original, and Palin’s knock-off. Here are a couple of the eleven examples he gives:

8. Palin: So Ronald Reagan spoke to us then with us here in our hearts is where he reached us…. He captured our hearts so he could affect positive change by what he did. He focused on our kids, on our children, on their future,
Gingrich/Shirley: The key to capturing the attention and, yes, the hearts of Americans is to focus on their future and their children’s future. Reagan understood this…

9. Palin: He stood strong on his knowing that the framework through which he believed that positive change that framework for our kids, it was freedom [sic].
Gingrich/Shirley: Successful governance means having a framework through which to lead the American people. For Reagan, that framework was freedom.

Add this to the 2012 opposition research archives. Stealin' just won't cut it, count on it, you betcha.

VIDEO-- Sarah Palin: Defense cuts are 'a sign of weakness'

By GottaLaff

Let's take just a moment of silence to honor Palin's signs of weakness.

...

... Thank you.

Wanna know what I consider a sign of weakness? Sarah Louise Palin... accusing the ObamAdministration of showing signs of weakness, also... too... moreover. Oh hell, maybe we should just BushCo (aka: nuke) North Korea to smithereens and let the repercussions fall(out) where they may:
In her strongest public remarks to date on the matter, Sarah Palin admonished the Obama adminstration on Saturday for proposing cuts to Alaska's missile defense network, a move she said would leave her state and the rest of the country vulnerable in the case of a future attack.
I understand one can see the missile defense system from Sarah Louise's house. How's that view from your own personal arsenal, Sarah?

"Reducing Alaska's defense readiness in these perilous times is a show of weakness, it is not a sign of strength," Palin said during a celebration in upstate New York honoring native son William Seward, who negotiated the purchase of Alaska in 1867 as Secretary of State. [...]

Palin said Alaska's missile defense system is now more vital than ever, particularly in the wake of North Korea's recent nuclear and missile tests. She said a missile fired from North Korea could easily reach Alaska and other parts of the country.

"And yet, Washington thinks it's best now to actually cut defense spending in Alaska by hundreds of millions of dollars," she said. "Now that is an odd priority there."

Palin said she will "argue with every ounce of my being for Washington to pay attention."

You, you, you, it's all about you. Anything for attention. But come on, isn't demanding your own pricey missile system going a tad overboard? A new wardrobe would suffice. Really it would. But only if you pick up the tab.

"That is not always easy, but it is right," she said. "It is clear to many that some of our priorities as a nation are kind of reversed, and it is my imperative, and it should be all of our imperative, that we get our government priorities right, because if they are misdirected, obviously America is going turn into something that we don't recognize."

Sarah, dear... America became unrecognizable back in 2001 up through 2008. The ObamAdministration is simply trying to restore its old, beautiful, democratic luster. Remember that? Democracy?

At another moment during her speech, the former vice presidential candidate got a cheer from the crowd by repeating a line of attack that was frequently used against Obama during last year's presidential campaign.

Palin explained that Alaskans believe in "the roots of our country, so deep, so strong."

"They're what we need to cling to," she said. "Clinging to, you know, that includes our clinging to our second amendment rights, and our faith in God. Many of us do cling to that strong faith in God."

I cling to my belief that she will continue on this road to nowhere, and I pray that she will invite Michele Bachmann to be her running mate.

Palin administration wishes "backlash" on Alaskans re: ethics complaint

By GottaLaff

Mouthy McEthicless isn't happy. Remember that little ol' ethics complaint against her? What was it, number 12? Well, now Mouthy is all a-froth with indignance:

The official response to the 12th ethics complaint filed against Governor Palin came in the form of a state issued press release. The complaint is referred to as “outrageous.”

One thing in the press release was particularly disturbing:

Mike Nizich, the governor’s chief of staff [said] “I hope that the publicity-seekers will face a backlash from Alaskans who have a sense of fair play and proportion.”

That wasn't very nice, now was it? Imagine what the unofficial response was.

Linda Kellen-Biegel, has addressed this question [of what a backlash would mean] HERE.

“There’s a core hypocrisy in nearly all of the ethics complaints brought against the governor, including this one. The ethics act clearly states that complaints, when filed, are to be confidential. Ms. Tompkins publicized her filing on several blogs, breaking the letter and the spirit of the law. While there are no penalties in the statute for this illegal behavior, Alaskans of all political persuasions should be appalled that the people who are alleging unethical behavior by the governor are repeatedly doing so unethically.”

Wait. So they're saying it's unethical to allege unethical behavior? Why... why... that's unethical!

[O]ne of those who filed an ethics complaint against the governor did make very sure to do it in public, and announce it with lots of media attention, right before the election in November, with an obvious desire to influence voters. That person was Sarah Palin, herself. Oops.

I think there should be a backlash against Mouthy for that. Unless, of course, that would be considered unethical.

Sarah Palin weighed abortion "for a fleeting moment"

By GottaLaff

For a fleeting moment, I agreed with Sarah Palin. On Thursday night, in Evansville, Indiana, at a right-to-life gathering, Preachy McFlauntKids surprised the crowd:

PoliticsDaily.com Melinda Henneberger reports, "In her first out-of-state political appearance since last fall's presidential election, former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin confided to 3,000 at a right-to-life event here that she had "just for a fleeting moment" contemplated seeking an abortion after learning she was pregnant with her son Trig, who will turn 1 on Saturday."

Alaska lawmakers reject Palin’s controversial attorney general pick

By GottaLaff

How controversial was Sarah Palin's attorney general pick? This controversial. And this. And this. Based on all of that, Ross' rejection was not unexpected:
The Alaska Legislature rejected Gov. Sarah Palin’s (R-AK) pick for state attorney general, Wayne Anthony Ross, by a vote of 35-23 today.
That stomping sound you hear is a spurned little Pouty McPoorTaste leaving the room in rage and disgrace.

Palin Family Feud Continues

By GottaLaff

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkon5vagMQN-cxqtjmT-LGolLSWNA5bq2HBSFuHP9esoY2p4O1EiXMRRcEjDljPoOqXQfzbVWKsscw8IkKwiAS2dp2T3RlY-VCJK3ANrme1NrjUncSSg0XCgo7HVnncJvum53W81FVB7c/s400/family+feud.jpg
At this rate, the Palin family won't even get parting gifts (original posts here, here, here, here, and here):
The Palin family's continued public fight with Levi Johnston can't help Gov. Sarah Palin's political ambitions.
That is exactly why everyone continues to post about it. Moving along...
Now Palin's father is stepping into it. Chuck Heath told US Weekly that the father of his great grandson "has not contributed anything" for the infant son he fathered with Palin's daughter, Bristol.

Said Heath: I don't agree with what he's doing right now. It's not right. He's broke, so he's trying to capitalize on this. I wish he'd take some of this money he's making and buy some diapers with it."
If Levi is broke, how can he afford anything, let alone diapers? As for Levi "capitalizing" on his interviews, I don't recall talk shows paying the big bucks to their guests. In fact, they're notorious for doing just the opposite.

But that's not important now. What is important is that the Palins are perpetuating this soap opera beyond our wildest expectations. I look forward to the next episode with baited breath and itchy typing fingers.

Sarah Palin's new disaster

By GottaLaff

http://images.morris.com/images/juneau/mdControlled/cms/2009/03/27/415204591.jpg
I've put up a few revelatory posts about Sarah Palin's horrendous pick for Alaska attorney general, Wayne Anthony Ross. [Please follow those links if you haven't been following the story.] Well, today, Mark Karlin over at BuzzFlash e-mailed me this little Max Blumenthal gem of a follow-up. Sparky McBackfire may dump W.A.R. to save her own skin:
According to two sources close to the confirmation hearings, Palin may ask Ross to withdraw before his appointment comes to a vote. [...]

But as pro-Palin forces attempted to push back against Ross’s critics, dozens of op-eds Ross authored during the 1980s and 1990s surfaced as key exhibits in the case against his confirmation. Among them is a 1993 piece entitled, “KKK ‘art’ project gets ‘A’ for courage,” in which Ross cheered on a local college student who had offended an African-American classmate by creating a statue of a Klansman with a cross in one hand and a flag in the other. “It might have been fun to see [the African-American student] try to remove the display,” Ross wrote. “Then she could have been arrested and her future as a student of the university could have been resolved through the university disciplinary proceedings.”

During the early 1980s, while Anchorage residents grappled over renaming the city’s 15th Street as Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, and state legislators mulled establishing a state holiday honoring the assassinated civil-rights leader, Ross wrote several manifestoes attacking King as a communist subversive, according to University of Alaska-Anchorage music professor and local progressive activist Phil Munger. Munger also told me Ross has routinely appeared at public events beside his friend, Don Tanner, a white nationalist who moved to South Africa for a period during the 1980s to support its apartheid government, and who reveled crowds of conservatives with anti-black “South African jokes” upon his return to Alaska.

A glance at Ross’s published archive shows he never limited his resentment to minorities. He taunted environmentalists (“It is time we quit crying over the oil spill” was the title of an editorial he wrote in the wake of the Exxon Valdez disaster); he denounced homosexuals as “degenerates” during a 1993 legal fight over a local gay-rights ordinance; and announced that his final wish before dying was to overturn Roe v. Wade. While rising through the ranks of the NRA’s national leadership in the 1980s, Ross published a piece in the mercenary magazine Soldier of Fortune, defending the right to form antigovernment militias.

“Ross’s profile fits where Palin wants to go after the current legislative session ends,” Munger remarked to me. “She seems to be planning some behind-the-scenes movement to stir up the crazies, especially by convincing them the federal government is going take their guns away. So nobody here is surprised by this selection.”

While Ross sustained withering criticism for his views on social issues, Native American tribes denounced his vociferous opposition to their subsistence rights. The tribes were especially disturbed by his vow during a 2002 gubernatorial debate to “hire a band of junkyard dog” attorneys to gut federal laws guaranteeing natives subsistence preferences. “It almost looked like she was rubbing our face in Anthony Ross’s appointment,” said Tim Towarak, co-chairman of the Alaska Federation of Natives, told The Bristol Bay Times. “Like rubbing our face on the ground, saying ‘Here, take this.’” With increasingly powerful tribal groups mobilizing a united front against Ross, Palin was compelled to defend her own record, pleading, “Obviously I am not anti-Native and would never appoint anyone who is.”

If Palin withdraws Ross’s nomination, she could end another embarrassing political spectacle before it registers on the national press corps’ radar. Alternatively, if she manages to ram his appointment through, Palin can begin implementing a hard-right legal agenda that will appeal to the elements she is cultivating as the base of her likely 2012 presidential campaign. However Palin decides to proceed with W.A.R., by nominating him, she has staked out the culture war as the fuel for her national ambitions.

Sparky McBackfire really picked a winner, didn't she? Oh, whoops, my bad, I shouldn't use that term. "Winner" and "Palin" should never be juxtaposed. That would be inappropriate and bad form.

Sparky McBackfire really picked a bigoted, mean-spirited, bottom-feeding boor, didn't she? There. That's better.

"Track"ing Bristol Palin's MySpace file

By GottaLaff

(This entry can be found enlarged and readable here)

Rather than plaster this post with gory details of Bristol's MySpace entries and other documentation, I'll link, and you take a peek for yourself. The files are pdf formatted, so it's easier that way.

The Gawker piece includes the following:
[R]evelations that Sarah Palin had previously accused her daughter of being pregnant and that Bristol's brother [Track] once told their mother that Bristol was a "stoner."
I'm tucking my snarkage away for now and saving it for another post. Ripping into a teenager isn't too appetizing; however, mocking Mommy Dearest, the supposed fine, upstanding, god-fearin' adult who taught her daughter everything she knows and proselytizes, is much more entertaining, even addicting.

And speaking of 2012, if those screen shots/quotes are as authentic as they seem, Shooty McMouthOff's family values, and Mother of the Year "you betcha" image, need some serious revamping.

This link takes you to (pdf) screen grabs of her MySpace pages.

I'll leave you with this Ezra Klein Tweet:
Note to Bristol Palin: "Tight" doesn't mean what you think it means. At least not in California.
Note to Shooty: "Abstinence" doesn't mean what you think it means. At least not in your own family.

Sarah Palin Lashes Out at Levi Johnston for Sex Talk on "Tyra"

By GottaLaff

Sarah Palin Lashes Out at Levi for Sex Talk on Tyra | Sarah Palin

Good lord, the Palin family is everywhere these days, aren't they? It's time for yet another episode of Shooty McMouthOff Does It Again:
After taking about sex on The Tyra Banks Show, Johnston – the 18-year-old father of Bristol Palin's baby – was hit with a blistering response from Bristol's mother, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

"Bristol did not even know Levi was going on the show. We're disappointed that Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship," says the statement from the Palin family rep.
I'msorrywhat? Who exactly is in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, engages in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion? Pot. Kettle. Hypocrite. See: 2008 Election, Presidential.
"Bristol's focus will remain on raising Tripp, completing her education, and advocating abstinence," the statement continues.
::Scree-e-e-eching halt:: Huh? Bristol advocates abstinence? We already know she doesn't practice it, but didn't she say the opposite... in a video... the video in which she says...
The 18-year-old, who got pregnant at 17 and had a baby in December, said in a televised interview that the abstinence her mother preaches is 'not realistic at all'.
Um, Shooty? Do you even know your daughter? Ahem: Sarah, this is Bristol. Bristol, Sarah. Sarah, Bristol got pregnant out of wedlock. She has a baby. She thinks abstinence is unrealistic. Now by all means, continue:
"It is unfortunate that Levi finds it more appealing to exploit his previous relationship with Bristol than to contribute to the well being of the child."
"The child"? That's what she calls her grandson Tripp? "The child"?
The statement ends, saying, "Bristol realizes now that she made a mistake in her relationship and is the one taking responsibility for their actions."
Harrumph.
In the show airing April 6, Johnston tells Tyra Banks that he believes Sarah Palin knew he and Bristol, 18, were having sex when they lived under her roof. "I'm pretty sure she probably knew. Moms are pretty smart," Johnston says.
Apparently not Bristol's mom.

Sarah Palin calls for Begich's resignation

By GottaLaff

Shooty McMouthOff is at it again. I posted earlier about the Rushpublics screaming for Mike Begich's resignation and a new election now that Ted "InterTubes" Stevens is off the hook. Guess who's hopping on the old bandwagon, or in her case, tongue-waggin':
Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) called on Sen. Mark Begich (D-Alaska ) Thursday to step down from his seat and run in a special election in the wake of the Justice Department’s decision to drop corruption charges against former Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska). Begich narrowly defeated Stevens in 2008, a contest overshadowed by Stevens’ October conviction.
See, Shooty, Begich already won fair and square. People voted. Stevens still would have lost, Stevens still would have been tried, and this recent turn of events in no way makes Begich's victory invalid.
In an email to POLITICO, Palin spokeswoman Meg Stapleton confirmed the governor’s position. “She absolutely agrees that there should be a special election,” Stapleton wrote. “Stepping down to hold the special election would be the right thing to do.”

In the statement Palin was provided, Ruedrich said that “the only reason Mark Begich won the election in November is because a few thousand Alaskans thought that Sen. Ted Stevens was guilty of seven felonies.”
He still very well may be.
“A special election will allow Alaskans to have a real, non-biased, credible process where the most qualified person could win, without the manipulation of the Department of Justice,” he added.

Begich issued a statement Thursday insisting that he will remain in his seat, despite Republican calls for his resignation. [...]

Begich spokeswoman Julie Hasquat did not directly respond to Palin’s call for the senator’s resignation, instead pointing to Begich’s statement as a clear enough indication of his reaction.

“We’re not going to respond to her,” Hasquat said.
And that was a perfectly appropriate answer to a perfectly, and typically, inappropriate Palin declaration.

Sarah Palin's prayer remark angers former staffers

By GottaLaff

http://tbn3.google.com/images?q=tbn:9b_zxe_wmqNyKM:http://www.jaymefearon.com/praying_mantis.JPG
The Praying Can'tis (original video/post here) is getting some mighty negative feedback. That's what happens when you diss your former (running mate's) staff who knocked their brains out for you, don'tcha know also too:
Some of Sarah Palin's former campaign aides are frustrated with the Alaska governor for remarking in a lengthy, freewheeling speech that she had refused to pray with them before last October's vice presidential debate. [...]

A handful of the McCain campaign staffers who traveled with the former vice presidential nominee nearly every day for two months caught wind of Palin's remarks on Thursday morning — and they aren't thrilled with her quip.

"We all talked this A.M.," said one former Palin aide in an e-mail. "This set off a nerve for sure with a lot of people."

What?! The Praying Can'tis abrasive? Insensitive? Tin-eared? Offensive? Reeee-dicklus!

Just kidding.

If only someone would speak candidly:

"It's yet another example of the few staff still loyal to Palin questioning their loyalty and ardent defense of her over the several months since the campaign," said the aide, who was granted anonymity to speak candidly about campaign colleagues.

Since election day, Palin has publicly griped about the way she was handled by the McCain team and pushed back against some of the campaign advisers who attacked her anonymously in the press.

But another former staffer said that in doing so, Palin is failing to distinguish between the strategists at McCain headquarters and the people who were at her side every day from late August through election day.

She's not too bright, is she? Not too aware. Not too wise. Everyone who already knew that, raise your hand. ... Wow! I can't see the sky any more! Hands down!

"It's about us people who were on the plane, who showed extreme loyalty to Palin, continually getting thrown under the bus or slapped in the face by her comments, whether she means it or not," the staffer said, adding that Palin's remarks "cause you to question not only your loyalty but her judgment as a leader."

Isn't that cute, how Praying Can'tis is digging herself into a hole all by herself with no help from anyone? Isn't she just precious? What a big girl is she!

The former aides said they place part of the blame for Palin's post-campaign candor on the governor's staff in Alaska. Several have reached out individually to offer advice or assistance to the governor, but "have gotten only pleasantries in response," said one aide.

And who hired that staff, if you don't mind my asking?

"Who is the one making the decision that she needs to be out there saying these things?," the second staffer asked. "Someone needs to be telling her, 'Listen, let's not talk the campaign any more.' We need to talk about what's relevant and thinking about her influence as a voice in the Republican Party."

"The people that she has, either working at her PAC or advisers in Alaska, aren't exactly making the best decisions for her," the staffer said.

Palin's office in Alaska did not respond to a request for comment.

Apparently the staff (that she hired) that make all those decisions (which she approves) didn't want her to get in more hot water with a comment (that she would okay).

BuzzFlash has a little something to add.

But will she notice?

By GottaLaff

Via Mudflats:

Juneau Protests Palin

palin-protest

Protesters in Juneau line the steps of the capitol building protesting Palin’s rejection of stimulus money for education and the arts.

“I’m going to do what’s best for Alaska,” Palin said. “We just want to make sure that everybody has all the information regarding this opportunity, because with opportunity comes obligation. I think the fairest route to Alaskans is not to get their expectations up.” [photo and quote from Capital City Weekly]

I’ve been to a lot of Palin protests, but this one on the steps of the Capitol building is the first time I remember Palin being present at one. Way to go Juneau for stepping out there and speaking for all Alaskans who couldn’t be in the capital city.

See, the thing is about Grabby McEarmarks is that she fails to notice the most obvious things. If she had that ability, she would never have run for Veep, never have made half of the campaign statements that she'd made, never ever have appeared on the Tee Vee Machine, and never have become a public figure to begin with.

Hence, I doubt she so much as noticed the protest five feet in front of her oblivious nose.

Alaska legislators to Sarah Palin: Pfft!

By GottaLaff

Oliver Willis provides a peek at the latest problems for Grabby McEarmarks. There are so always many, it's hard to keep track, but we're on top of it. One more for the ol' archives:

Top Alaska legislators said Tuesday they’re likely to accept at least most of the federal economic stimulus money that Gov. Sarah Palin did not.

“I think at the end of the day we will end up taking most of the funds,” said Anchorage Republican Rep. Mike Hawker, who is leading the House effort on the stimulus as co-chairman of the finance committee.

Senate Majority Leader Johnny Ellis agreed. “I would be surprised if we give up much or any of the federal money,” the Anchorage Democrat said.

How can you win over an entire nation when you can't even garner the support of your own state? 2012 looking a little more elusive there, Grabby?

Palin Campaign Manager: Palin ‘Cringed At The Idea’ Of Reading A Gay-Friendly Children’s Book

By GottaLaff

Remember Book Banning Sarah? Of course you do. How about Homophobic Sarah? Who could forget her? This self-righteous wannabe needs to step away from the public eye for about 30 years:
[...] Palin insisted that her inquiries into removing books from the shelves were strictly “rhetorical.”

In a new biography of Palin released this week, Trailblazer: An Intimate Biography of Sarah Palin, her former campaign manager details Palin’s disgust at the idea of a gay-friendly book. During her 1996 mayoral campaign, Palin questioned the local library director about the “content and selection” of the library’s books. [p. 76]

One book that Palin questioned as not being “appropriate for the public library” was Daddy’s Roommate, a story about a young boy whose father is gay and moves in with his partner. Palin’s campaign manager at the time, Laura Chase, urged Palin to read the book before passing judgment:

I found it to be a sensitive book about showing love for additional family members. I took the book to show the other council members and said I felt it was inoffensive and suggested for everyone to read it, but there were not takers. I said, ‘Sarah why don’t you take it home and read it.’ I could tell by her body language she cringed at the idea.I was shocked. It blew my mind that she wouldn’t look at it. [p. 77]

[...] It’s not surprising that Palin “cringed” at a harmless depiction of a loving gay couple. Palin staunchly opposes marriage equality, publicly supports her church’s promotion of a program designed to “help” gays live as heterosexuals, and maintains that people are gay because they choose to be.

I'm sure Palin can pinpoint the exact day she chose to be straight.

Palin told to pay back taxes

By GottaLaff

Geithner, Daschle... Palin:
Alaska officials have told Gov. Sarah Palin she must pay back taxes on the thousands of dollars she received in state per diem funds while living at her home in Wasilla.

The Washington Post first reported last September that Palin had billed the state for nearly $17,000 worth of meals and other living expenses while staying in her own home during the first 19 months of her administration, even though the official governor’s residence is in Juneau. [...]

Palin’s office would not say how much she owes in back taxes, or if she would continue to receive the payments.

Sarah McLimelight can't seem to stay out of trouble, ethical or otherwise. Add this to the archives that will be mined in 2012.

At least this keeps her in the news, which should make her one very happy grandma.

Judge: Sarah Palin used her child as a "prop" which "blew her (the judge's) mind"

It seems like just the other... hour... that I posted this:
"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me."
--Sarah Palin
I'm so bored and anonymous (I won't go so far as to call myself "pathetic," and I don't lie) that I shall now post this post, post haste:
A federal judge [U.S. District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald ] presiding over a case involving an autistic boy took a shot at former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin for bringing her Down syndrome child on stage after a debate last year. [...]

"That kid was used as a prop," the judge said. "And that to me as a parent blew my mind."

Such conferences are often held behind closed doors, but the remarks were overheard by a reporter for the New York Daily news.

That was amusing. I must remember to be bored more often.

Anonymously yours,

Laffy

Palin endorses Rick Perry in Texas

By GottaLaff

Sarah just loves that spotlight:
This endorsement will endear Palin to conservatives. But could it undermine a potential 2011/2012 message about women breaking barriers in politics? And what does it say about her trying to shore up her weaknesses with independents and the political middle?
Good questions. Those 18 million glass ceiling cracks could be a potential hazard:

"Palin, who electrified the GOP base as the party's vice presidential nominee last year, has strong support among the party's social conservatives. Her endorsement appeared aimed at undercutting Hutchison's appeal with GOP women. Both groups will be important in picking the party's nominee in next year's GOP primary."

I wish her success in her continuing efforts to shoot herself in the proverbial foot.. or in her case, feet.

VIDEO: Sarah Palin's Ongoing Wolf Slaughter

By GottaLaff

The sanctity of life. Compassionate conservatism.

Governor Sarah Palin continues to push extreme methods to kill wolves and bears, seeking to eliminate hundreds of wolves this season through Alaska's aerial wolf killing program. Her state's Board of Game has even approved the killing of young wolf pups in or near their dens, a controversial practice that was illegal until 2008. http://www.eyeonpalin.org
