I'm thinking the McCain camp saw some internal polls that looked like this right before they decided to pull out of Colorado.
A new Rocky Mountain News poll finds Sen. Barack Obama has surged to a commanding, double-digit lead in Colorado over Sen. John McCain, 52% to 40%, "amid soaring anxiety about the country's direction and a massive shift of independent voters into the Democratic column."
