A surge we can believe in.
An early look at today's Diageo/Hotline tracking poll shows Sen. Barack Obama now holds a double-digit lead in key battleground states.
Among registered voters surveyed in Colorado, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wisconsin and Nevada, Obama tops McCain 50 to 40%. Just a week ago, Obama led 45% to 42%.
Nationwide, Obama leads 47% to 41%.
Rasmussen has Obama up 51% to 45%.

I like the good news, but I'm so sleepy. I wish I could curl up and go back to bed.
Help keep me awake, Paddy. Keep posting good stuff like this.
The more people see McCain and Pallin, the more they realize the insanity of them both. D.
These national polls are always encouraging, but it is still a state by state race that determines the election.
Indeed, Mr, Miss, Ms, Mrs anonymous, it's the kind of voting system that gets dictators in some of the world's poorest countries a long stay from Jimmy Carter, ending with the verdict that the elections that took place under Peanut Jimmy's probing gaze were neither democratic nor satisfactory.
But then, those dictators also get up to tricks with voter registration manipulations and polling-day reversals of voter eligibility, which deosn't happen in the USA, oh no, no, no-no, no!
Well, only a teeny bit, here and there.
Sort of.
The amount of money needed to fight the sleaze bags is staggering but necessary. Isn't it a shame?
