Gramm-pa McCain Now Playing Defense

George Stephanopoulos spoke about the McCain campaign pulling out of Michigan on Good Morning America:

"This race is solidifying on a trajectory that doesn't work for [McCain and Palin]... McCain is really only playing in a couple of Democratic states last time around -- Wisconsin, maybe New Hampshire, maybe Minnesota. But Biden and Obama are playing in a host of red states: They're ahead in Ohio right now. They're ahead in Florida right now. They're ahead in Virginia right now. They're ahead in all of these states in the Southwest -- New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, Iowa in the Midwest. What this means right now, is that Obama and Biden have far more states in play than McCain and Palin. Really, McCain's only hope right now is to basically re-create the 2004 map. If Obama and Biden can take away an Ohio, a Florida, the three Southwestern states, they're on the path to victory."
