Barack speaks (link to text). And Barack makes history.

The crowd is going bonkers. Obama is his usual calm, eloquent, gracious self.

The crowd is cheering Hillary. Crowd booing McCain. Crowd loving Obama.

This is a passionate, intensely caring, powerful Barack Obama. This is someone who can dish it out as well as take it. This is the difference between a real leader and someone who claims to be one.

The crowd. I can't get over the crowd. Wow. And his words, double wow. "America, this is our moment." Let's remember that.

This was his moment.

That speech was magnificent. Whew! Anyone need a cigarette?

Chris Matthews: He stuck it to McCain with the 100 years war remarks [I paraphrased that].

Brian Williams: Obama had the easiest task of the 3, to accept the nomination. This is one relieved couple. But the journey that awaits... They want to spend 10 minutes not thinking about Clinton. Superb stagecraft, taking it to the Republican convention venue. "Signed, Sealed and Delivered" is the exit music.

Keith: Crowd: 17,000 inside, another 15,000 outside.

Tim Russert: He wove in patriotic elements, plus the stagecraft is a huge contrast to McCain's. McCain can't compete.
