Obama was ahead 320 to 218 electoral votes last week but Obama has widened that lead over the past week.

Number of electoral votes based on the latest polls for each state:

  • Barack Obama - 347
  • John McCain - 191

And the polls we have recently updated are in the table below.

State #EV Barack Obama John McCain
New York 31 51.0 32.0
Florida 27 47.0 43.0
Pennsylvania 21 52.0 40.0
Ohio 20 48.0 42.0
North Carolina 15 41.0 45.0
Virginia 13 47.0 45.0
Minnesota 10 47.0 46.0
Wisconsin 10 52.0 43.0
Kentucky 8 41.0 53.0
Oklahoma 7 38.0 52.0
Oregon 7 46.0 38.0
Arkansas 6 39.0 48.0
Kansas 6 37.0 47.0
Nevada 5 42.0 44.0
UPDATE: Even CNN had good news for Obama (their electoral map isn't usually as optimistic for Obama):
Pennsylvania has swung into Obama's column in the new CNN Electoral College Map.

"The Quinnipiac poll in Pennsylvania indicates that Obama may not have a problem carrying states that he lost to Hillary Clinton during the primary season, regardless of the chatter on that topic back in April," said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.
