Dan Lundgren: Why are you here? You weren't subpoenaed. Not part of impeachment effort, right?

Scott: To shed light. No, not part of that effort.

Dan: This is Kucinich Light. Members can infer, lead to impeachment... but you're not here for that.

Scott: No. We wouldn't be here for that purpose if the W.H. had been more forthcoming...

Dan: The authorization for Iraq invasion... WMD. Was the administration talking about other grounds?

Scott: Yes, but WMD was the main emphasis. And connections to Al Qaeda, selling it to America as a grave and gathering danger.

Dan: Leading Democrats said the same thing that the president said. But, you used the word "propaganda". [gives the dictionary definition] You were part of that, right?

Scott: Yes, to some extent. I was Deputy Press Secretary, so not intricately involved.

Dan: These were your opinions.

Scott: Yes, based on knowing the president, and being involved. Based on my knowledge of meetings, etc.

Dan: Others may disagree.

Scott: I was on the inside.

Dan: You called Carter a centrist, Reagan a centrist. You wouldn't want impeachment based on OPINION, would you?

Scott: I've already stated my opinion on that.
