This video is brimming over with bad:
The video takes aim at the four Democratic candidates for [Ted Kennedy's] seat, making them out to be characters in a horror film and giving them nicknames like "Cap and Trade Capuano" and "Call My Sister Overseas Coakley.

The 27% that picked Charlie Brown is probably the actual "27%". The other options are a bit more benign.
- Confident Superman: 38%
- Hapless Charlie Brown: 27%
- Thoughtful Albert Einstein: 19%
- Comeback Kid Bill Clinton: 9%
- TV Dr. Derek Shepherd: 7%

A suburban Detroit woman has decided to scare up the vote among neighborhood children by just offering treats to John McCain supporters.Call me confused, but I thought McCain/Palin supporters were anti-choice. But that's not important now. What is important is that we organize a posse and t.p. this witch's house... among other things.Shirley Nagel of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich., handed out candy Friday only to those who shared her support for the Republican presidential candidate and his running mate Sarah Palin. Others were turned away empty-handed.
TV station WJBK says a sign outside Nagel's house warned: "No handouts for Obama supporters, liars, tricksters or kids of supporters."
Nagel calls Democrat Barack Obama "scary." When asked about children who were turned away empty-handed and crying, she said: "Oh well. Everybody has a choice."

A shop in northwest Ohio is offering a Joe the Plumber Halloween mask.
No, they don't have speedy mask makers at the Costume Holiday House in Fremont. The latex Joe face is actually one for another bald man, professional wrestler "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
Even his mask is a fake.
Even so, I hope nobody wears one around the kiddies. It would scare them silly.

WWL Poll: Obama-McCain in virtual tie in Louisiana
Video: Watch the Story NEW ORLEANS - An exclusive new WWL-TV statewide poll shows the contest for president may be closer than many had predicted among Louisiana voters.
In the telephone survey of 500 registered voters, conducted by pollster Ed Renwick, Republican Senator John McCain earns 43 percent of the vote, while Democrat Senator Barack Obama receives 40 percent. Renwick said that amounts to a statistical tie, since the poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 points.
“It's closer than I thought it would be,” said Renwick, adding that the higher the turnout, the worse it might be for McCain.

A new site, YesWeCarve.com, provides downloadable stencils and professional directions for voters who want to hammer trick-or-treaters with an Obama appeal. Forget mass-made yard signs, say the organizers, and carve your own “Barack-O-Lantern.” Emphasis on The O — get it?
While Get-Out-The-Vote programs typically send volunteers to knock on doors, this effort capitalizes on a night when swing voters are the ones going door to door.
The project has a sleek, open-source feel, with logos that hew closely to the Obama campaign’s official design patterns, and an interface that invites visitors to upload their own homemade designs and lanterns. While the site’s major stencils feature standard Obama logos, for example, visitors can also see a more offbeat pumpkin headshot of Obama, submitted by Manuel Guzman from Tuscon, Ariz. [...]
Meanwhile, Obama has taken a lead in Halloween masks in some cities — beating McCain by two to one in Boston.
Are pumpkins elitist? Is this some sneaky new form of terrorism? Oh no! Trick or treat!
No. Just treat.
