VIDEO: Joe Biden compliments Sarah Palin, talks "F-Bomb" slip on "The View"

By GottaLaff

Vice President Biden, discussing Barbie McLipSchmutz:

"She is a charming person. It's hard not to like her."

Not for many of us, Joe, but it's hard not to like you:

And here he is commenting on the (in)famous "F- Bomb" slip to Obama over the health care bill.:

Now had he dropped the F-Bomb while debating Barbie...

Elisabeth got two words out and bam! The rest of the panel pounced.

Baba Wawa: "We're not sure what the anger is about... That the rage should be over something like health care...?!":

VIDEO- Meghan McCain: Tea Party represents ‘innate racism’

By GottaLaff

Broadcast on ABC's The View, Feb. 8, 2010:

The daughter of former presidential candidate John McCain has sharply criticized the Tea Party movement, accusing it of "innate racism."

In an appearance on ABC's The View, Meghan McCain also took issue with a number of recent statements from Sarah Palin, criticizing the former Alaska governor for defending Rush Limbaugh's use of the word "retard" and for suggesting that President Obama launch a war against Iran in order to win a second term.

Plus Meghan and Mommy J Sid are for gay rights. Imagine that.

I applaud Meghan for her remarks on The View. The more often despicable people like Tancredo and many Tea Tantrumers are called out, especially by fellow Republicans, the better. They need to be exposed and eventually, shunned.

This country is headed in a dangerous direction if hate speech continues to be expressed so vehemently and frequently, and then given an enormous microphone via the No Longer News media.

So, to Meghan McCain:

We previously posted about the Tom Tancredo comments here. All our Tea Tantrumer posts can be found here.

VIDEO-- Meghan McCain on The View tells Dick Cheney, Karl Rove to "go away"

By GottaLaff

Hell, we've been telling Karl Rove and the Nation of Dick this for years, but we don't make it on to The View. I have to admit, I do thoroughly enjoy MegMac's snipes at KKKarl:

Bill O'Reilly not challenged about Terkel stalking on The View

By GottaLaff

I will not be posting the either of the YouTubes of Bill O' Reilly on The View. Here is why:
FOX's Bill O'Reilly on The View - 03/30/09 - Not one question was asked about the Terkel stalking, or subsequent efforts by Terkel's supporters to hold O'Reilly's advertising sponsors to account for their support of his actions.
Background here. He is set to appear on the Late Show with David Letterman tomorrow night. Let's hope Dave does better than the hosts of The View.

Correction made on the Letterman date. I mistakenly said O'Reilly would be on tonight. He'll be on Tuesday night.

Bill O’Reilly On The View And Letterman This Week

By GottaLaff

Unless he cancels, of course:
On Monday, he is scheduled to appear on ABC’s The View [...] Then on Tuesday, O’Reilly is scheduled to appear as a guest on David Letterman’s show. (You can contact Letterman’s show by emailing cbsmailbag@aol.com).
Let's hope at least one of those shows nails him for this. I can't imagine the View hosts will let him get away without some sizzle, especially after their little tete-a-tete with John McCain.

Meanwhile:
Chrysler LLC spokeswoman Carrie McElwee has responded to our Stop Supporting The O’Reilly Harassment Machine campaign with this statement:

We appreciate the diverse audience that television programming allows us to reach.

Chrysler buys network cable as a package but we currently do not have the O’Reilly Factor in our media rotation at this time.

Rotate that, O'LIElly.

VIDEO-- Meghan McCain to Laura Ingraham: "Kiss my fat ass!"

By GottaLaff

MegMac has been Tweeting a lot of positive messages to those who don't weigh 102, in response to Laura Ingraham's inexplicable insults about her weight.

And then she spoke up loudly and clearly on The View:

The ladies of The View were disgusted by Ingraham’s remarks. Conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck called it a “low blow.”[...] McCain continued to tear into Ingraham, tell her to kiss her ass:

McCAIN: When Tyra Banks went on her show in her bathing suit and said, “Kiss my fat ass.” That’s what I feel right now. I’m like “Kiss my fat ass!”

Atta girl, MegMac! Meanwhile, Laura Ingraham responded on her radio show as MegMac appeared on The View:

INGRAHAM: But look the bottom line is it’s rough and tumble out there. You wanna put yourself out there as someone who’s going to redirect the future of the Republican party, and you’re going to have to deal with satire. You’re gonna have to deal with people teasing. You’re gonna have to deal with, you know, sometimes the kitchen gets a little hot! …. You gotta just take a chill pill. … Can I say lighten up or is that offensive too?
Here's an idea, Laura: Have a point. What does she hope to accomplish? If it's looking like a classless, insensitive bully, then bingo! Mission accomplished.
Writing about the spat with Ingraham on her Daily Beast blog this weekend, McCain wrote that “instead of intellectually debating our ideological differences about the future of the Republican Party, Ingraham resorted to making fun of my age and weight.“At this point, I have more respect for Ann Coulter than I do for Laura Ingraham because at least Coulter didn’t come back at me with heartless, substance-less attacks about my weight,” wrote McCain.
Hey Laura, when Ann Coulter is the one who comes out looking (relatively) good, you know you're in trouble. Here are MegMac's original Ann Coulter remarks.

Between this feud and the one that developed between Jon Stewart, Tucker Carlson, and CNBC, we've had our hands full. Cat fights: They're not just for breakfast any more!

John McCain blows off "The View"

By GottaLaff

The view co-hosts grilled McCain in September.
It seems like a lifetime ago that J Sid was on The View, but to the loser of Election 2008, it isn't long enough:
Sen. John McCain just may have blacklisted the hit talk-show The View after a heated, somewhat confrontational, appearance on the program last September.
You know what they say: If you can't stand the heat(ed appearance), get out of the kitchen way of View hosts. Barbara Walters:

"He had been on The View and was not very happy," Walters told a gathering at Syracuse University, according to Portfolio.com. "And when we walked out and I saw him I said, 'Senator, so nice to see you. I hope you'll come on The View again.' And he looked at me and said, 'Not anytime soon.'” [...]

Walters specifically challenged Palin's reformist credentials, noting McCain has served in Washington for more than two decades and asking repeatedly, "Who's she going to reform, you?"

Whatever happened to J Sid's inflamous, knee-slappin' sense of humor?

McCain's wife Cindy, after a contentious fall appearance of her own, declared that the co-hosts "picked our bones clean."

Go here to see the videos of J Sid getting his bones picked clean.

Gee whiz, if he's that reticent to return to a daytime Tee Vee show, how would he have behaved had he been elected president, and gotten dissed by, say, an Iranian leader?

Silly me. He'd probably have joked his way out of it.

After Hasselbeck whines of being shut out, White House invites her to Christmas party

Whine being the operative word. If you helped the Republicans out so much Liz, why did they lose? By the way, she eventually got invited.

VIDEOS: John Sidney McCain on The View

By GottaLaff

You ask, we deliver:

View co-host Joy Behar asked McCain:

"There are ads running from your campaign... Now we know that those two ads are untrue, they are lies. And yet, you at the end of it say you approve these messages. Do you really approve these? Barbara then threw in her condemnation, by telling McCain: "You, yourself said the same thing about putting lipstick on a pig..."

McCain was also pushed on his stance on abortion, saying he thought Roe v. Wade was a bad decision. Saying he'd nominate justices who interpret the constitution, Whoopi asked if that meant she'd be returned to slavery.

Whoopi also pushed McCain on the separation of church and state, and if he believes in it, "did it not give you a moment of pause" to choose Sarah Palin as his running mate. He responded in part, "God has a plan for the world and that we should do what we can to lead as good a lives as we can...".
McCain was asked how Palin will "reform" Washington and the government. Barbara Walters continually pushed on just who and what she was going to reform. His answer, which he was forced to elaborate on, was "all of Washington".
UPDATE:
McCain fumbles Palin's record on earmark requests
Republican presidential candidate John McCain on Friday defended two debunked television ads attacking Democrat Barack Obama and claimed erroneously that running mate Sarah Palin never sought money for lawmakers' pet projects as Alaska governor.

Palin sought $197 million in so-called "earmarks" for 2009. In the previous budget year, she asked for earmarks worth $256 million.

McCain made the comments during a feisty grilling on ABC's "The View..."

Michelle Obama on The View

Runs about 24 minutes.

Michelle Obama Polling Much Better Than Cindy McCain

By Paddy

Michelle on my teevee right now. Yes, they got me. (btw, she's wearing a great dress)

As Sen. Barack Obama re-introduces his wife to the American public this week, a new Washington Post/ABC News poll finds Michelle Obama with a 48% approval rating among voters compared with just 39% for Cindy McCain.

However, "substantially more, 36%, haven't yet formed an opinion of McCain, vs. 23% in Obama's case. For both, those are sizable numbers who've yet to make a judgment."
