Dennis Miller: Health care enables your kid not to grow up!

Mr. Laffy was on his way home, stuck in the usual Los Angeles traffic, and started flipping through radio stations when who did he stumble upon? Why none other than Dennis Miller, former comedian.

He was so astounded at what he heard that he actually wrote down part of Miller's rant when he got home, just so he would remember enough details to tell me, so I could tell you.

And I will (some paraphrasing).

"Here's the fundamental difference between Democrats and Republicans," an astonished Dennis said. "Obama health care means your kids can now stay on your health care insurance... until they're twenty-six! That means you're enabling your kid... not to grow up!"

Yes, by caring for our children, by preventing their illness, by allowing them to, you know, live, we are turning them all into Peter Pans. Clap three times if you want them to die!

"It's Wayne's World, where your grown kid will be living in your basement... until they're twenty-six!!"

Pshyeah. Health care. Party on.

"Even the Birdman of Alcatraz made his birds leave the nest!"

So-o-o, our kids are living in prison, and keeping them well is a life sentence. Damn those pesky family values!

Republicans won't help the poor and disadvantaged. They don't even want to help their kids.

To quote Mr. Laffy, "Get your kids off the dole!"

Now let's compare and contrast. This is what our differences boil down to... It's all in the inflection:

Democrats: Now your kids can stay on your policy ::parade music:: until they're 26! (Excellent!)

Republicans: Now your kids can stay on your policy ::ominous music:: ... until they're 26!!! (Exsqueeze me? I baking powder?)

I'm gonna hurl.

Okay, I'm really a hard sell when it comes to humor, but is this funny and I'm just not getting it?

Remember when Dennis Miller was funny?



Miller said it was 9/11 that changed him. Did it make him sexist too?

But Miller’s hypocritical comments and Palin’s lack of concern with them, give weight to those who argue that Palin and her conservative followers have a selective perception of social bias.

And the media will give them both a pass on this.

How many times have the righties jumped all over, say, Joe Biden or John Kerry, for making comments or jokes that these sanctimonious evolutionary-challenged misfits felt were out of place? Well, folks, compared to this video, their gaffes were as benign as a first grade knock-knock joke. This ranks right up (or down) there with Bush's "searching for WMD" routine.

Last night on Fox News, host Bill O’Reilly and former comedian Dennis Miller announced a new “business partnership.” “We’re opening a theme park: Waterboard World,” O’Reilly said. Funnyman Miller explained how the park would help in efforts to curb greenhouse gas emissions.

Nothing says "funny" like torture jokes. Maybe next, Bill-o the Clown and Dennis Pill(er) can crack us up with one-liners about assassination threats, racism, and foreclosures.

Dennis Miller's on a roll here. He humiliates himself on national television, again. With Billo, again. In a mere 46 seconds, he manages to reduce his already degraded image to that of a used gym towel. This irrelevant excuse for a talking head obviously has some unresolved personal issues.

I've got news for Formerly Funny Dennis: The last thing I consider upon being exposed to the stunted emotional development of Sarah Palin is what she does with Bobsled Todd in the little spare time they share behind closed doors:

She’s a great dame. People are fascinated by her because the Left hate her. I think the Left hate her — mostly women on the Left hate her — because to me from outside in it appears that she has a great sex life, all right? I think she has non-neurotic sex with that Todd Palin guy. … I think that snow mobile looks like mechanized foreplay to me and that’s why people are fascinated.

Hmmm. Shades of Rich Lowry. Stop your panting, Dennis. Your wife can smell your hot breath from across the room.

Cleavage? On a guy? Man boobs?

On Dennis Miller’s radio show today, former top McCain strategist Mike Murphy attempted to explain away the [Charlie Black] gaffe with a crude joke:

MURPHY: Well, he’s an old friend of mine, so I’ll defend him. I don’t know what happened. I think there must have been tremendous reporter cleavage involved or something.

MILLER: hahahahahahaha

In fact, the reporter who wrote the Fortune story was a man — editor at large David Whitford. Despite his friend’s attempts to explain away his mistake, Black has already admitted that his statement was wrong and “inappropriate.”

The John Sidney McRunningOutofIdeas camp is like watching a comic soap opera. Do they realize how funny they are? More like laughing stock.
