Video- Dana Perino claims "subtle charge of racism runs through all the rhetoric that the Democrats throw at Republicans"

Apparently the powers that run the television discourse have decided that this will be the subject of discussion today. At least it's better than running with the Clenis rumours... slightly.

VIDEO: Dana Perino credits Bush for Copenhagen climate talks

By GottaLaff

Yes, Dana Peroxide, Boy Georgie supported all that scientific science by scientific scientists and their sciency scientific conclusions about global warming. Obama's just following his lead.

What a break for our president and America that his predecessor was such a forward thinker:

This video is from Fox's Fox News Sunday, broadcast Dec. 6, 2009.

Download video via RawReplay.com

According to George W Bush's former press secretary, the ex-president's refusal to sign the Kyoto Protocols in 2005 set the stage for current climate change negotiations in Copenhagen. [...]

[T]he former administration was right to cook the books.

VIDEO- Dana Perino: No terrorist attack during Bush's term

By GottaLaff

Dana Perino:

"We did not have a terrorist attack on our country during President Bush's term..."
Of course we didn't, dear... it was just some random airplanes that destroyed thousands of lives, brought down a few buildings, terrified the world, created a "War on Terror", but certainly not a "terrorist attack" on Bush's watch... on 9/11... that he had been warned about.... and failed to stop.

That same not-attack gave a regime of thugs the excuse to execute a throbbing drumbeat of relentless fear mongering, near-dictatorship, rampant torture, a fraudulent invasion of a sovereign country who never attacked us... shall I go on?

Or was Dana saying that the attack was not terrorism? Was it something else? By someone else?

Maybe it was simply her adorable way of calling her former boss a liar:

Dana Perino appointed to Obama administration post

By GottaLaff

http://toohugeworld.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/dana-perino.jpg

At least she'll have people on the board to fair-and-balance her out:

Former press secretary to President George W. Bush Dana Perino was appointed as a member of the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) Wednesday evening.

The board governs all government sponsored, non-military international broadcasting outlets, such as Radio Free Europe, Radio Free Asia, and Alhurra. The BBG is a nine member, bipartisan panel.
And there she'll be, all bright and Bushie-tailed.

Quotes of the Day

They really are villagers. On President Obama missing the Gridiron Dinner-

Former White House spokeswoman Dana Perino- "For some people it might seem silly, but Washington is a town of traditions," Perino said. "It seemed like a deflating moment. If you can do Jay Leno but not this one, I'm sure people were disappointed."

Sam Donaldson- "Well, I mean, he's a family man, he wants to be with his children at Camp David, and that's fine. Some day he may want a little credit from the bank and it won't be there but that's alright, at the moment he's riding high."

Catty little shits aren't they?

VIDEO-- Dana Perino: "Talk to the hand" when it comes to pardons

By GottaLaff

::Will you just leave us alone? Just as what our government e-mails might reveal, who we extraordinary rendition, who we waterboard, whose lives we destroy for any given reason, what our reasons are for bombing sovereign countries who've never attacked us, whether or not we throw the country into economic chaos, which covert agents we decide to out, who we torture, which species we endanger, how many times we illegally eavesdrop, who we meet with to make policy, and who we publicly smear are none of your damn business, neither is who we decide to pardon.::

In that case, Dana, allow me to break from protocol and get all transparent on you: Suck it*, BushCo.

Via Think Progress:

Last month, Perino insisted that the White House would follow the Department of Justice guidelines for issuing pardons. However, the administration broke with protocol in pardoning predatory mortgage lender Issac Toussie — forcing Bush to revoke the pardon just weeks later.

Bush is a saint

By GottaLaff

http://www.ericberne.com/images/warmfuzzy.jpg
I'm watching Larry King Live right now, and the panel consists of Dana Perino, Ari Fleischer, Josh Bolten, and Andy Card. Gosharootie, they're polite, conscientious, and respectful. And they smile as if they mean it. They're the bestest!

Why, had it not been for these fine, unimpeachable* standard-bearers of Republican values, I might have continued to believe that Bush is a despicable, lying, cowardly, drunken, imbecilic, shallow, murderous, delusional, sadistic piece of excrement.

But after soaking in the lavish praise and reverence of this lustrous team of devotees, and even learning that Bush is someone who "never stifles debate", I'll have to do some serious rethinking. How could I have been so wrong?

*Literally.

Helen Vs Dana- "Occupiers" Vs "Guests"

God bless Helen, I hope she lives forever. Via TP.

During today’s White House press briefing, spokesperson Dana Perino echoed President Bush’s claim that Iraqi journalist Muntader al-Zaidi’s frustrations are not representative of the Iraqi public’s sentiments. She pointed out that Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki apologized for the mistreatment of his guest. When reporter Helen Thomas pointed out that U.S. forces are actually “occupiers,” Perino bristled:

QUESTION: Why not worry about it? Does it reflect the feelings of the people?

PERINO: I don’t think that you can take one guy throwing his shoe as representative of the people of Iraq.

And I will tell you that Prime Minister Maliki and the journalists who were there in the room, who apologized on behalf of the Iraqis, saying this is not how they would treat a guest. […]

QUESTION: But he wasn’t a guest. We’re occupiers.

PERINO: No, we’re not. We are absolutely a guest.

VIDEO-- Dana Perino v. Helen Thomas on the "debunked" Downing St. Memo

By GottaLaff

Check out this exchange between the wonderful, sharp-as-a-tack, no b.s. Helen Thomas, and the-- well, Dana Peroxide:

Q: What about the chief of British intelligence saying you were going to fix the facts around the politics?

PERINO: I think that that’s been debunked.

Thomas quickly countered, “It’s never been been debunked.” Caught off guard, Perino admitted that she was the one who “debunked” it:

Q: It’s never been debunked.

PERINO: Well, it’s been debunked by me.

Q: Good for you.

PERINO: Good for me.

Good for Helen.
Recall, the Downing Street Memo — which was authored by former British foreign policy aide Matthew Rycroft before the Iraq war — reported: “Bush wanted to remove Saddam, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy.”
Dana, know when you're outmatched, 'k? 'K.

VIDEO: Perino celebrates Iraq War "victory"

By GottaLaff

This post by Spencer Ackerman is dead on. Cue the Jaws theme... Snark attack:

Ben Armbruster at ThinkProgress has what might count as the greatest Bush administration quote since “Mission Accomplished.” Commenting on the U.S.-Iraq Status of Forces Agreement, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino does her best George Aiken impression:

We believe that the conditions are such now that we are able to celebrate the victory that we’ve had so far and establish…a strategic framework agreement.

Yes! Just months ago, setting a date for withdrawal was abject capitulation. Today it’s victory! I don’t believe I really have to comment on why this is so painfully stupid. I’d rather start inflating balloons for V-I Day. When do you think the statues of Bush go up in Baghdad’s Firdous Square?

Dana Peroxide does it again.

Iraq wants to "go it alone"

By GottaLaff

Speaking of Iraq, via Think Progress: CNN’s Michael Ware said the U.S. presented a second draft of the [security] agreement, but Iraqis rejected it because the draft is “the same as the first.” According to Ware, many Iraqis now want to “go it alone” and may even “take over this war”:

The negotiations on the long-term agreement are going so poorly that today, a senior government official “expressed doubt an agreement could be reached before the U.S. presidential election in November,” according to the AP.

The administration and its allies are still in a state of denial, however. “We know the Iraqis want us there,” said White House Press Secretary Dana Perino this week.
Yes, Dana, of course you're right, it's so obvious. But you don't have the credibility that say, a Joe Lieberman does:
Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) absurdly claimed the dissent in Iraq regarding the agreement is a “sign of our success.”
Once again, the Republicans create their own reality. And by Republican I meant Joe Lieberman.
