Donald Trump is as dumb as a box of his hair

By GottaLaff

http://scrapetv.com/News/News%20Pages/Business/images-2/donald-trump-bad-hair-day.jpg

I'm wondering who controls this ignoramus's mouth, The Donald or his comb-over:
With the coldest winter ever recorded, with snow setting record levels up and down the coast, the Nobel committee should take the Nobel Prize back from Al Gore. Gore wants us to clean up our factories and plants in order to protect us from global warming, when China and other countries couldn’t care less. It would make us totally noncompetitive in the manufacturing world, and China, Japan and India are laughing at America’s stupidity.

Wow! He's right! Except for this:

In reality, China, Japan, and India have all submitted greenhouse gas emissions targets under the Copenhagen Accord, and are leading the United States in the race to build the clean-energy technologies of the future.

And this:

[T]he unprecedented weather patterns that have brought snowfall to every state in the continental United States are the product of a record-hot planet. Following the hottest decade on record, we are now in the hottest winter in the satellite record, and this past January was one of the hottest Januaries on record for the planet. (H/T EcoPolitology)

That "he's right" thing? Pfft, that was just a writer's device... Which, of course, means Trump is wrong.

Or his hair is. One never knows who's doing the talking, because that thing on his head is clearly alive.

Actually, his hair is so very, very wrong:

VIDEO: Robert Gibbs spars with Chinese media

By GottaLaff

Cringeworthy:

It was media mayhem in Copenhagen Friday. The Chinese press reportedly flooded a meeting between President Obama and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, with many of Robert Gibbs' "people" left in the dust. Even CNN's Rick Sanchez seems upset. CNN

Reporter to Sen. Jim Inhofe: "You're ridiculous."

By GottaLaff

http://images.politico.com/global/news/091217_inhofe_2_ap_289.jpg

Copenhagen antics with none other than Jim the Dim Inhofe. You remember who he is, right?

But Inhofe’s aides eventually rustled up a group of reporters, and the Oklahoman — wearing black snakeskin cowboy boots — held forth from the top of a flight of stairs in the conference media center.
I love that sentence: Snakeskin Cowboy Boots Guy "holds forth". For some reason I found the juxtaposition of those words amusing.

A reporter asked: “If there’s a hoax, then who’s putting on this hoax, and what’s the motive?

“It started in the United Nations,” Inhofe said, “and the ones in the United States who really grab ahold of this is the Hollywood elite.”

One reporter asked Inhofe if he was referring to California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Another reporter — this one from Der Spiegel — told the senator: “You’re ridiculous.”

Ding! Give that reporter a cee-gar!

There is a prologue:

You know who Inhofe is. I know who Inhofe is. But...

After Inhofe left, some reporters were still a bit confused about what had happened and who he was.

“His name is Inhofe,” a German journalist told a Japanese reporter, “but I don’t know if it’s one or two f’s.”

Join the club. Many of us are often confused about what has just happened after he has spoken.

The difference here is, these journalists weren't afraid to speak up and say something about him and to him.

Our News Dee Jays either ignore this kind of idiocy or encourage and perpetuate it.

And so it goes.

Breaking: International leaders reach tentative deal to reduce greenhouse emissions

By GottaLaff

Email news alert from the L.A. Times, just in:

Key international leaders have reached a tentative deal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and curb climate change, the Los Angeles Times has learned, after the United States and China agreed to a method for recording developing nations' pledges to limit emissions and ensuring those pledges are carried out.

Details of the agreement were approved in an evening meeting with Obama, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, sources said.

Obama has scheduled a press conference shortly in the host Bella Center to unveil the agreement.

More soon at: http://www.latimes.com
However, per what I've been hearing on the Thom Hartmann show, much ado about very little.

100,000 march for more aggressive action on global warming

Now this is how you do a protest. Tea Partiers, eat your hearts out:
Police and organizers estimated that between 60,000 and 100,000 people showed up to protest the U.N. climate talks in Copenhagen Saturday, demanding more aggressive action on global warming. The demonstrations were mostly peaceful, except for some radical groups whose spontaneous protests led to 900 arrests. The chief coordinator for Danish police said, [...] Most demonstrators were looking to speed up action to stop climate change, but various social and political causes were represented, from vegetarianism to the Iranian opposition, and of course, the ubiquitous Free Tibet folks.
And that's the way it is.

VIDEO: Dana Perino credits Bush for Copenhagen climate talks

By GottaLaff

Yes, Dana Peroxide, Boy Georgie supported all that scientific science by scientific scientists and their sciency scientific conclusions about global warming. Obama's just following his lead.

What a break for our president and America that his predecessor was such a forward thinker:

This video is from Fox's Fox News Sunday, broadcast Dec. 6, 2009.

Download video via RawReplay.com

According to George W Bush's former press secretary, the ex-president's refusal to sign the Kyoto Protocols in 2005 set the stage for current climate change negotiations in Copenhagen. [...]

In last-minute stunner, Obama changes plans to attend final day of Copenhagen talks

By GottaLaff

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9vhby3iLf2rY38SiNwDtkJNYRlFMV20CT1tDg6ayfhh_YtBUiS0aVMD5ofiDIQOZjdKdginPvyRxSxR35iKM7NcCGSyGg3dYli1KQW_1G7DKZ9p2zAYf5n8p-W644p5B01onFn-pomeAJ/s400/Seal+the+Deal.jpg

I like the sound of this:

A couple of hours ago, the Obama administration announced a startling shift in plans: rather than stop by the Copenhagen climate talks on Dec. 9, Obama will be going on the 18th, the final day of the meeting—a notable increase in commitment (and political exposure) from the administration.

The first week of every COP meeting consists of posturing, speeches, protests, and NGO reports. Everything of significance to the treaty is announced late in the meetings, often on the last day, after a flurry of last-minute negotiations. Coming to Copenhagen at the climax of the talks, specifically to push negotiations “over the top,” as the White House statement says, is a risky move for Obama. He’s got skin in the game now; he’ll look foolish if he rides in at the last minute and fails to broker an agreement.

If he’s willing to stick his neck out like this, Obama must be pretty confident that he can get a deal. [...]

[I]t marks the first time developed countries have collectively committed to a package of climate aid for the developing world.

Momentum is finally on the side of an international agreement.

I'm on pins and needles waiting for Barbie McLipSchmutz's ghost blogger to post a Climate Birther Deather Denialer rant about it!

More here.
