"Countdown with Keith Olbermann" Sorkinized?

Oh, how I miss Aaron Sorkin's series. He's one terrific storyteller and writer. Make this happen:

Word is that Sorkin is mulling over the idea of a new TV drama that takes a behind-the-scenes look at a cable news program (think: Keith Olbermann's show on MSNBC)

The idea the lead character could be based on Olbermann is not entirely surprising, or new — in a 1999 interview, Sorkin told Olbermann he was the "origin" for one of the leads in his prior series, "Sports Night." "I sat in this hotel room for thirteen months writing The American President," said Sorkin. "To keep me company, I would have SportsCenter on."
