Why is MSNBC carrying Palin's speech live?

Excuse me, but didn't the Republican ticket lose? Didn't the electorate REJECT her and her "mavericky" sidekick. Jeebus.

Added- Couldn't figure out what the hell she was supposed to be talking about, but I can say with great conviction that she should keep talking.
