When you think Saturday Night Live, you think Andy Samberg, Darrell Hammond, Amy Poehler... but not John Sidney McCain. Yes, Gramps McAARP is doing a cameo on SNL to attract the young'uns, with one caveat: He won't cross-dress. What a party pooper! Then again, the visual of him in women's clothing just made me throw up in my mouth a little:
The 71-year-old grandfather and Republican presidential contender said he hopes to use his appearance this week on "Saturday Night Live" to reach out for the youth vote.
"I think Senator Obama has done a very good job with young voters; we have to do a good job as well," McCain said, referring to the leading Democratic presidential contender, Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois. [...]
[B]ut he declared there will be no reprise of the cross-dressing appearance once made by former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani.
"Ah, no," the Navy veteran said when asked if he would agree to wear a dress.
If he won't wear a dress to secure votes, then how will he secure the country against terrorists?
So. Will he get Generation Savvier-Than-He-Thinks on his side? Ah, no.
