VIDEO: Shadegg Uses Baby as Prop During Health Care Debate

By GottaLaff

I wanted to "spit up", and wished Maddy had.

Yes, John Shadegg actually used an innocent infant as a prop, spoke baby talk, and provided us with nothing more than what was most likely in Maddy's diaper at the time. And for this, he got applause.

The collective (im)maturity of the Rushpublic side of the aisle doesn't come close to measuring up to Maddy's level of sophistication.

How utterly humiliating.

Afterthought: Did the Rushpublics start up a new recession era business... Loaner babies?

Shadegg has no shame, using a stunt baby. The GOP has shown their stupidity today, and it's effin' frightening.

These jerks must think that we live in a world similar to the worlds of The Simpsons and Moral Orel. Oh, brother! BTW, if they really cared about any baby, then the neocons/right-wing extremists should realize that an affordable health insurance is beneficial for babies, especially for newborns. Give what the people want and that's the public option!

I posted the link to Shadegg's website...it is easy to send an email...he, so far, isn't hiding behind zip code things and such.

I sent:
------------------
Office of Mr. Shadegg:

I simply want to say that I saw Mr. Shadegg use the infant in his speech today.

Disgraceful!

I was SO disgusted that he would use a living, breathing, INFANT as a prop.

It doesn't matter whether he was pro...or con...or, even what he was speaking about...it was UNACCEPTABLE and an ultimate LOW for anyone to do.

He owes an apology to America.

I hope he will reflect on this and decide that it was a bad thing to do.

And, as I personally reflect more on this, it almost seems like child abuse!

How strange to see an infant, female white face among all the middle aged white male ones.

At least the Repubs are trying to broaden their base.

Jack Kimble has an open call for cute children for this Saturday's Senate vote:

http://kimbleforcongress.blogspot.com/2009/11/urgent-small-children-wanted.html

URGENT: Small Children Wanted
As you know, the Senate is voting on Health Care this coming Saturday. It is very urgent that we stand up to the Obama/Pelosi agenda to take over health care in this country, but we can't do this without your help. The vote will be televised live in prime time and as we saw during our vote in the House, the sight of a member of congress holding a small child to argue against health care is a very powerful image. Unfortunately, we have a shortage of small children. What we are looking for is cute children, preferably between ages 2-4 who are potty trained and not criers. Please, no ugly children--they just won't be as effective on camera. We will return your baby safe and sound after the vote. If you have a baby please either phone 202 863-8500 or email Leadership@rnc.org. Please put Cute Baby Available in the Subject line.
