First, thank you to those who have donated. Thank you so, so much. Paddy and I know this is not an easy time to part with money, any amount, yet you're finding a way to help us out. We are unbelievably grateful. That said... well, here comes the spiel:
It's always so hard to ask for donations. Both Paddy and I don't feel at all comfortable with our hands out, but it's a necessary evil. Why? Well....
As you probably know, Paddy's still unemployed, so eating is becoming a luxury. I'm stuck in a job that pays less than $500 a month. You read that right. I essentially volunteer. See what we mean?

Even the smallest donation, whether it be $5, $10, makes a difference. So would a million, but George Soros hasn't dropped by lately.

First Lady Michelle Obama joined House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and other lawmakers and dignitaries on Capitol Hill on Tuesday to unveil a bust of Sojourner Truth, the 19th-century slave turned abolitionist who was also a fiery advocate for women’s rights.
Mrs. Obama praised Ms. Truth as a woman who didn’t allow “indignities to destroy her spirit,’’ who fought for her own freedom, the freedom of others and for women’s right to vote. She said the bust, which will appear in Emancipation Hall in the Capitol Visitors Center, would inspire many young African Americans who visit the Capitol.
