Obama family moving to DC this weekend

By GottaLaff

The Obama family is planning to move to Washington this weekend, say two transition officials. “They will stay at a Washington hotel through the 15th and then they will move into the Blair House,” said the first official.

President-elect Barack Obama and wife Michelle are coming to DC early in part to be there for the beginning of school for daughters Malia and Sasha, but will not specify which day that will be.

The officials also note that the President-elect will be in Washington to “continue work on an economic recovery plan.”

The beginning of a new beginning.

cute picture, his daughter looks so much like one of my friend's little sister who's grandparents came from Somalia.

Gee, the hotels 'round here have been getting terribly pricey as we get closer to the Inauguration. I hope they can afford to live like that for two weeks.

Awww...The look of love and adoration in his daughter's eyes is just priceless, isn't it?

My kids only look at me like that when they want things.

I bet PE Obama is probably afraid to go back to Illinois for any amount of time--terrible "taint" going around up there, and it's highly contagious.

I don't think he's afraid of anything, but I know what you mean.

I hope you know what I meant, girl...

I don't think Obama's literally afraid of much, and we can all be thankful for that. Twas simply a bad joke on my part.

Barack looks more like "Dad" than Mr. President in this photo.

I am just so glad to get someone into the office of President who doesn't have to pretend to be qualified.
