Video- MSNBC WHCD Afterparty

I could have done with alot less K.C. (OMGWTF happened to him?) and more MSNBCrs. They were probably all too drunk from Rach's drinks. And how cool is that?

Video- President Obama and Jay Leno at White House Correspondents Dinner

I couldn't watch Leno, he just seemed to bomb from the get go. The President on the other hand did gangbusters, but seem to get tangled up with the visuals.

Jay Leno to headline White House Correspondents' dinner

Man, talk about dialing down the edgy! Perfect progression- Wanda Sykes, Stephen Colbert and Jay Leno...

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Comedian Jay Leno will headline the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner in May, the group said Friday. Leno agreed earlier this month to appear at the event, before NBC announced his return to hosting "The Tonight Show," the group said. The network's move was prompted by affiliates protesting the poor ratings of Leno's prime-time show.

The comedian will share the stage with President Barack Obama at the correspondents' dinner at the Washington Hilton. By tradition, presidents fire jokes at the news corps, political opponents and even themselves at the event, where politicians, journalists and celebrities rub elbows.

By GottaLaff

Via f***ing TPM:

From Extra, explaining how she was asked to keep her routine clean ...

"They told me not so say the F word or the N word... I'm offended they even told me that," Sykes told "Extra" moments before taking the stage. "What do they think? I'm some ignorant a**. Like I'm going to go in there, 'What's up n*****. Like what the f*** they think I'm going to do?"
What the f*** were they even thinking?! S***!

VIDEO-- Steele on Obama's joke: 'good love between two brothers!'

By GottaLaff

Two brothers? They must be adopted, because they are nothing alike:

[W]hen President Barack Obama gives you a shoutout for being "in tha heezy," you've got to at least rap back.

Sadly, the reply from a man who once bragged that he'd take the Republican party "off the hook" with a "hip-hop" makeover, didn't include a single rhyme.

Speaking to Politics Daily after the press dinner, Steele said, "It was good love between two brothers! This worm will turn. My time will come. Trust me."

Psst! Michael! I don't trust you. But at least you were good-natured about the jokes.

Some memorable Wanda Sykes moments (some paraphrased):
"Maybe Rush was 20th hijacker, so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight... Too much?"

"McCain gave you grief about new helicopter. If you ask your wife nicely, Mr. McCain, she'll BUY you a new helicopter"

Re: Michelle Obama giving Queen iPod..."What're you gonna give the Pope, a Bluetooth? Give the Queen TEXAS"

Re: Michelle's bare arms... "Some of the previous 1st ladies needed sleeves... ponchos."

Re: Palin. "She pulled out [of the dinner] at the last minute. Someone should tell her, that's not how you practice abstinence"

"They never catch you [Obama] smoking, but they always catch you with your shirt off"
Sidebar: Ok, I really didn't need to see Greenspan fondling Andrea Mitchell's bare shoulder.

UPDATE, Tweet from Meghan McCain:
Omfg, wanda sykes just made a joke about obamas nipples...

Thanks but no thanks: Palin pulls out of White House correspondents' dinner

By GottaLaff

http://ny-image2.etsy.com/il_430xN.61990594.jpg
Okay, so it's for a legitimate reason... for once. Her communications office actually got something right:
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will miss a chance to chat up President Obama this weekend because she's cancelling plans to attend the White House Correspondents' dinner, but she's got a good excuse.

Palin on Wednesday declared a state of emergency because of record flooding in Eagle, Alaska. "It's basically wiped out a town," Bill McAllister, Palin's communications director, told CNN.

Palin was slated to be a guest of Fox News at the annual dinner.

What, Keith and Rachel didn't invite her? That's not very inclusive of them.

The former Republican presidential candidate has also pulled out of co-hosting a Friday night dinner for the Republican Governors Association with South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford. The dinner is a thank you to donors who have contributed at least $25,000 to the group. The dinner for 50 will be held at the Virginia home of Fred Malek, a major Republican fundraiser.

Next on the list was Tim Pawlenty, but he couldn't wangle it. How does it feel to be third choice, Jon:

The RGA is now hoping Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, another hot property in Republican circles, can attend instead.

Nick Ayers, executive director of the RGA, said, "We'll have a good group there." Nick needs to work on his acting skills. He didn't convince me at all.
