I could have done with alot less K.C. (OMGWTF happened to him?) and more MSNBCrs. They were probably all too drunk from Rach's drinks. And how cool is that?

Donny Deutsch to Anchor on MSNBC

Gaw. Deutsch just makes me grind my teeth ever since he bought off Mika's anger with a pair of expensive shoes and she gushed like an imbecile. Lord, I'm going to have to really start trying to appreciate talk radio... Or hope Shuster gets his CNN show soon.
Former CNBC host Donny Deutsch will be anchoring the 3pmET hour next week on MSNBC. Since David Shuster's suspension earlier this month MSNBC has had a revolving door of anchors at both 10amET and 3pmET and next week, Deutsch gets the slot.
Deutsch's CNBC show "The Big Idea" was shelved in Dec. 2008. He's been appearing as a guest on MSNBC since.

May I just say

That I find everything about the new Dylan Ratigan show set up annoying as hell. The music is jarring, the visuals suck, his little no chemistry camaraderie bs with the other talking heads is fake like Vegas boobies and his talking style makes me want to push him off a cliff. Into a volcano.

Chuck Todd, Savannah Guthrie Share New MSNBC Show

What a whitebread, cracker ass waste of television time. Howsabout some diversity, maybe some "outside the beltway" types maybe? Segments that last more than 4.5 minutes even? Younger voices? Dear g-d these people are stupid.
Added- Just what MSNBC needed, another middle aged white guy in a suit for their evening line up.NBC News White House correspondents Chuck Todd and Savannah Guthrie will be anchoring a new program for MSNBC, reports WaPo's Howie Kurtz.
The program, titled "Daily Rundown," will air at 9amET in 2010, filling the slot formerly occupied by Dylan Ratigan's "Morning Meeting," who, we heard, will be on in the afternoon.
Todd says the program "has the feel of a signature Washington show for us." The plan is for one of the two to anchor from the road when they are traveling with the president.

Chris Matthews Recovering From Diabetes Tests

I wondered about this yesterday since it was announced last week that he would be covering the speech. Get better soon Tweety, you're fun to watch sometimes.
Noticeably absent from today's coverage leading up to the President's address to Congress is MSNBC's Chris Matthews. Matthews was on the schedule to host Hardball leading in to tonight's 8pmET address, but TVNewser has learned health problems are keeping him at home.MSNBC spokesperson Jeremy Gaines tells TVNewser Matthews had some follow-up tests Tuesday related to his diabetes. "He's going to take the rest of the week off to rest, but he's feeling fine and will be back on Monday," says Gaines.

'Carlos Watson' 11a Hour Canceled

Really? We can be subjected to three freaking hours of The O'Scarborough report, two freakin' hours of Dylan "Girls Can't Throw" Rattigan, an hour of Dr "Paint Drying" Nancy and another hour of Andrea "Dear Jeebus, someone get her a teleprompter coach" Mitchell, but you shitcan the one semi-progressive voice on MSNBC in the morning? Fridays' show with Roy Sekoff as co host was great, some real progressive ideas were thrown about. Thanks for squat MSNBC.
Anchor Carlos Watson has been removed from the 11amET hour of MSNBC's dayside programming effective immediately. Mediaite's Rachel Sklar confirmed the news today and reported that Watson will stay on as a contributor. At present, it is unclear who will replace him, but TVNewser will be keeping a close eye on that situation.
