Ex-Bush ‘domestic policy czar’ Rove rips czars as ‘giant expansion of presidential power’

KKKarl Rove Tweets:

It is surprising that Rove finds the appointment of czars to be “a giant expansion of presidential power” because he actually served as the “domestic policy czar” in the Bush White House. In fact, President Bush himself appointed numerous czars in order to deal with various public crises and controversies, including a “cybersecurity czar,” “regulatory czar,” “AIDS czar,” “bird-flu czar” and “Katrina czar.” Moreover, Rove’s criticism of Obama is ironic, given his role in an administration that was marked by the expansion of executive power.
Rove's not even remotely close to being the "genius" the corporate media made him out to be, now is he?

Sarah Palin: Keith Olbermann "is EVIL!"

By GottaLaff

http://www.anniemayhem.com/blog%20pics/KeithOlbermann3.jpg
[W]hen she looked at the back cover of my first film…and saw the photo of one of the film’s targets, Keith Olbermann, she literally let out a shriek and, pointing to his photograph, declared, “THAT guy is EVIL!”
-- Right-winger John Ziegler re: SarahPalin
Ziegler is dead set on proving that Obama won the election solely because of “media bias”. He went on to say:
I know, with moral certitude, that the media assassination of [Palin], her character and family, was one of the greatest public injustices of our time.”
No, that would be the 2000/2004 elections.

Ann Coulter: "Obama race-baited his way to success", McCain nominated for "Who's the Biggest Pussy?"

By GottaLaff

http://images.wikia.com/uncyclopedia/images/a/a5/Ann_coulter_scary.jpg
There's nobody quite as ill-bred as Madam's Apple. She's in a class all by herself... mainly because nobody could stand to share anything with her. On January 6th, NBC will help Madam's sell books ( Guilty: Liberal "Victims" and Their Assault on America).

Be proud while you can, NBC, because after seeing what's inside the covers (and in her case, under the covers with anything that moves... or doesn't), I have a sneaking suspicion you may see an abrupt drop in ratings:

Examples of such comments from Guilty include the following:

  • Coulter says the Democratic primaries were a contest of "Who's the Biggest Pussy?":

[N]one of the Democrats could face questions from Fox News's Brit Hume, the winner turned out to be [Barack] Obama. Hillary [Clinton] claimed to be a victim of Republicans, while Obama claimed to be a victim of Republicans, Hillary, and racists. [Page 79]

Coulter later suggests that Sen. John McCain should also be nominated for this contest [...] [E]vidently McCain was more afraid of the real attack machine: the mainstream media. [...] Say, is it too late to nominate someone else for that "Who's the Biggest Pussy" contest? [Page 88]
  • Coulter calls children whose parents divorce "future strippers" in a chapter titled "Victim of a Crime? Thank a Single Mother":
We also have a term for the youngsters involved: "the children of divorce," or as I call them, "future strippers." It is a mark of how attractive it is to be a phony victim that divorcées will often claim to belong to the more disreputable category of "single mothers." [Page 36]
  • Coulter, discussing "Republican turncoats," remarks that "their gender always remains the same. They are women, not limited to the biological sense". [Page 114]
  • Coulter claims that Obama, actress Halle Berry, and musician Alicia Keys "race bait[ed] their way to success":
In a related phenomenon, various half-black celebrities insist on representing themselves simply as "black" -- the better to race-bait their way to success. Actress Halle Berry, singer Alicia Keys, and matinee idol Barack Obama were all abandoned by their black fathers and raised by their white mothers. But instead of seeing themselves as half-white, they prefer to see the glass as half-black. They all choose to identify with the fathers who ditched them, while insulting the women who struggled to raise them. [Page 7]
  • Coulter calls former White House press secretary Scott McClellan "retarded" after describing a fictional scene of "washed-up Republican functionaries like McClellan showing up in a basement office at NBC and announcing they want to be rewarded for snitching on a Republican". [Page 118]
  • Coulter states that New York Times columnist Frank Rich "became qualified to comment on U.S. foreign policy, national security, and presidential politics after spending a childhood dancing his favorite numbers from Oklahoma! in his mother's panties". [Page 198]
  • Coulter calls Newsweek contributing editor Eleanor Clift a "braying left-wing slattern". [Page 193]
  • Coulter describes Code Pink co-founders Medea Benjamin and Jodie Evans as "storm troopers" and "satanic dervishes". [Pages 177-178, 179]
  • Discussing former Virginia Sen. George Allen's calling S.R. Sidarth -- a volunteer who was videotaping Allen for James Webb, Allen's Democratic opponent in 2006 -- "macaca," Coulter refers to Sidarth and other campaign trackers as "little Nazi block-watchers". [Page 165]
See? That's what some publisher thought was worth reading. And hey, why not? What an opportunity to gather the family around, cozy up in your flanneliest flannels, let the kids stay up extra extra late, make some fudge, and read aloud to each other. Why, you could all take turns! Think of it as "edu-tainment"!

And how nice for Coulter that she has a platform on national television.

Madam's Apple (emphasis on "mad") is nothing more than a used suppository in the shriveled, most uncivilized, vulgar recesses of the literary world.

She and her agent should thank their lucky stars there's still a First Amendment.

The ugly Bush stain: Interior Dep't. tainted nearly every decision on endangered species

By GottaLaff

This ugly Bush stain isn't from one of his New Rules. No, this one has some major history and is one of the biggest, ugliest, most horrendous stains imaginable:
A high-ranking Interior Department official tainted nearly every decision made on the protection of endangered species over five years, a new inspector general report finds, concluding she exerted improper political interference on many more rulings than previously thought.

Julie MacDonald, a former deputy assistant secretary overseeing the Fish and Wildlife Service, did pervasive harm to the department's morale and integrity and may have risked the well-being of species with her agenda, Interior Inspector General Earl Devaney said in his report out Monday.

Okay, stop right there. "May have risked the well-being of species with her agenda". Species. In other words, she played god. But her god isn't kind and loving. Her god kills in huge numbers. How's that for compassion?

The Interior Department last year reversed seven rulings that denied endangered species increased protection, after an investigation found that MacDonald had applied political pressure in those cases. The new report looked at nearly two dozen other endangered species decisions not examined in the earlier report. It found MacDonald directly interfered with at least 13 decisions and indirectly affected at least two more.

MacDonald, a civil engineer with no formal training in natural sciences, resigned in May 2007. Department employees reported that they used her name as a verb — encountering political interference from senior managers was called "getting MacDonalded."

I'd like to tell her to get Cheney'd.

She resigned weeks after the report by Devaney last year found that she broke federal rules and should face punishment for leaking information about endangered species to private groups. That report also said MacDonald censored science and mistreated staff.
What a perfect person to have been given unlimited power over living beings, including her own staff.

The new investigation reaffirmed those findings and said MacDonald's influence was even more far-reaching. It also faulted her boss, former Assistant Secretary Craig Manson, as well as several other high-ranking Interior officials, including Randal Bowman, a special assistant to Manson, and Thomas Graf, a department lawyer. [...]

Rep. Nick Rahall, D-W.Va., said the findings "paint a picture of something akin to a secret society residing within the Interior Department that was colluding to undermine the protection of endangered wildlife and covering for one another's misdeeds."

She should be dropped off at the North Pole. Let's see if she does as well as the polar bears.

The ugly Bush stain: Interior Dept. Changes Rule to Remove Congress Veto edition

By GottaLaff

That putrid whiff of flatulence you smell? It's Bush... again:

'The revision of the rule eliminates all references to Congressional authority.' Interior Dept. Changes Rule to Remove Congress Veto

In another regulatory action in the waning days of the Bush dictatorship, the Interior Department on Thursday unveiled a new rule that challenges Congress’s authority to prevent mining planned on public lands. Congress has emergency power to stop mineral development, and has used it six times in the last 32 years. The most recent was in June, when it put a three-year moratorium on uranium mining on one million acres near the Grand Canyon. Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne has ignored that Congressional directive, saying it was procedurally flawed. The revision of the rule eliminates all references to Congressional authority.

Bush can have all the farewell, maudlin, revisionist interviews he wants, but nothing... nothing... will eliminate the stench he leaves behind after eight years of infecting this country with a rotting, decomposing morgue full of felons hell bent on vaporizing the Constitution.

BREAKING: Lieberman will stay on

By GottaLaff

Harry Reid just announced. It wasn't even close, from what he said. Lieberman keeps his chairmanship.

"We need to be unified. We need to be unified as Democrats. We need to be unified as a Senate."
He defies anyone to be as angry as he was, Reid says. But, he doesn't want to "get even". He "feels good" about what they did today and doesn't "apologize to anyone". It's time to move forward.

He'll never understand or approve of what Lieberman did, but he's been one of the more progressive members, he said. He fought of the civil rights movement, says Reid. We need to handle the problems that face our country.

Do I trust him? Yes, I do.

Hey Harry? We don't. Not one bit. Not at all.

Traitor Joe is thanking Reid.

UPDATE:
Traitor Joe says the resolution nails him on his campaign remarks. He's denying some of the statements, saying they are "not true". He regrets "some" of his statements. Time to move on.

Claims what he said at the Republican convention were to explain his support of McCain. Uh huh.

He thinks he can reach across the aisle. He's defending his "independence of mind". But he considers himself to be a good member in standing of the Dem caucus... "that's what the record shows".

He's very enthusiastic, he says. He's excited about the chairmanship. He's relinquishing his seat on the Environment Committee.

Wow, that's some sacrifice.

He and McCain will introduce a new version of their anti-global warming rule.

Reid's New Rule: From now on, each member will be limited to chair one full, and one sub-committee.

See "labels".

VIDEO: Lars Larson calls Barney Frank "Barney Fag"

By GottaLaff

Via Think Progress, we witness bigotry in action:

Last Friday night, right-wing radio host Lars Larson played a spoof “Barney Frank for President” advertisement that ended by referring to Rep. Frank (D-MA), who is gay, with a derogatory term:

Summary: Radio host Lars Larson played a spoof "Barney Frank for President" advertisement, in which a person said: "Now remember, this Erection Day -- Election Day, vote for Barney Frank for President. I'm Barney Fag -- uh, Frank and I approve this massage -- message."

Larson also baselessly suggested that Frank allowed his relationship in the 1990s with a Fannie Mae official to improperly influence his conduct as a member of the House Financial Services Committee. In fact, Frank repeatedly took actions over the years to strengthen oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Click here to read more...
No words... Well, some. And you'll find them in "labels".
