Video- "Pelosi Politburo emasculation": CNBC's Cramer predicts "gigantic rally off a Coakley loss"

Why anyone would pay attention to anything this ass says is beyond me. But, as is stated in the comments over at Media Matters-

Wow, and I thought Coakley didn't have a chance. Thank you, Jim Cramer, for your Amazing Opposite-Day Prophecies.
He does have a track record of being spectacularly wrong.

TeaBirthers Hoping For "Riot" At Rep. Scott's Town Hall

By GottaLaff

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3468/3785204977_c5075264c5.jpg

So many who claim to be "patriots" and "real Americans" act like anything but. Via TPM:

Tea Baggers are hoping for a literal "riot" at an upcoming town hall event, in order to create a spectacle for CNBC's cameras. And the event will be hosted by a Democratic congressman who this week had a swastika painted on a sign outside his district office.

Yesterday, Tea Party Patriots national coordinator Jenny Beth Martin sent an email, obtained by TPMmuckraker, to a Tea Party google group. Martin told the group: "We have a media request for an event this week that will have lots of energy and lots of anger. This is for CNBC."

She then asked: "So, where are the big events this week and where can TPP best be represented on the news?"

Later that day, a Tea Bagger named Pat Wayman responded with a suggestion, also obtained by TPMmuckraker: "This one should be a riot! literally...." he wrote.

Wayman then posted information for an upcoming town hall meeting hosted by Rep. David Scott (D-GA).

Of course, CNBC would never consider such a preposterous proposition:

[...] [A]t least in Martin's telling, the pro-business CNBC was specifically looking for an event with "lots of energy and lots of anger." [...]

But it's even more interesting that the Tea Baggers were only to happy to try to provide that anger.

Feed the frenzy. Encourage extreme behavior. Anything for ratings and a few extra bucks, right? Way to go, corporate media.

This is how the TeaBirthers and their enablers want to "solve" America's problems: With violence, hostility, and stifling democracy. Remember that at the polls, America... if they don't shut you up, that is.

"Bullshit," a female voice interjects.

VIDEO: Cramer responds to Stewart: ‘It was naive and misleading’ to attack me

By GottaLaff

Remember this? Of course you do. It's a thorough examination of Jim Cramer v. Jon Stewart v. Tucker Carlson. Well now, what have we here? Jimmy C seems to have rethought everything:

Today, Cramer dismissed Stewart’s attacks, calling them “naive” and saying that CNBC had been “out front” in identifying financial malfeasance:

This full-throated defense of the network may be coming in response to CNBC staffers who were reportedly “furious” with Cramer for not defending their reporting in his interview with Stewart.

He sure knows how to take a stand and stick to it, doesn't he? What a principled individual. Everyone who can't wait to watch The Daily Show tonight, raise your hands.

Joe Scarborough has a nickname for Jon Stewart

By GottaLaff

Just Tweeted (he was replying to another Tweeter) by Scarborough:
So the "little guy" didn't get hurt by CNBC? I thought that was why Jon Stewart attacked? The Elliot Ness of comedy.
UPDATE:
TVNewser reports that “MSNBC producers were asked not to incorporate the Jim Cramer/Jon Stewart interview into their shows today.” By TVNewser’s count, Cramer’s Daily Show interview was only mentioned once on MSNBC today and that was during the White House press conference when a reporter asked for Obama’s reaction. [I beat 'em to it and posted that here] [...]

TVNewser writes that “insiders” say that Cramer “will talk about Stewart tonight on Mad Money (6pmET & 11pmET).”

After The Daily Show, Cramer Skips "Morning Joe"

I'm just finally watching TDS piece now, and Cramer comes across (to me) as mentally unstable. I've really never watched him before, but he is all over the place and very narcissistic. I don't blame him at all for skipping MJ. Via Think Progress.

As Michael Calderone notes, yesterday on Twitter, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough wrote that he would have the “exclusive Jim Cramer interview tomorrow morning to discuss tonight’s war with Jon Stewart.” But after the rough night, Scarborough wrote this morning that Cramer was a no-show:

No Cramer. Perhaps another example of oversleeping. Guess he had a late night. That is too bad. Producers told he was only talking to us.

BTW, Stewart needs some kind of huge medal. Devastating.

Jim Cramer set to appear on 'The Daily Show' Thursday

Now this is going to be Must See TeeVee!!

The ongoing feud between CNBC host Jim Cramer and Comedy Central's Jon Stewart will culminate with a personal face-off. After fielding jabs from Stewart about the calls he's made about Wall Street, the "Mad Money" host has agreed to make an appearance Thursday on "The Daily Show," according to Comedy Central. Before then, though, Stewart plans to take another swipe at Cramer and CNBC's coverage of the financial crisis on tonight's program.

Outburst II: CNBC's Joe Kernen rips up New York Times on air

By GottaLaff

kernen_2-23.bmp tantrum1.jpg Crying Brat picture by sumerianbanshee
Whatever happened to professionalism and objectivity? How does it feel to have whiny little toddlers working for you, CNBC?
CNBC's Joe Kernen and Carl Quintanilla ripped a couple articles in the Business section of the New York Times today during "Squawk Box."

The first was the Times' story about News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch and his love of print. [...]

They also brought up Brian Stelter's story about the Rick Santelli outburst. "What is their point?" asked Kernen.

Unfortunately, I couldn't grab the clip. But you can watch Kernen make a fool of himself by sharing his feelings with America quite openly and ripping up the Times (video here). It makes a lovely bookend to Santelli's little tantrum.

Apparently, these grown men can't contain themselves on national Tee Vee. I don't want to begin to imagine how they act at home.

2008 VIDEO: CNBC bows to Mini-Madoff "Sir Allen" Stanford

By GottaLaff

Via The Daily Beast:

So the only person feeling as bad as Robert Allen Stanford's investors may be CNBC's Carl Quintanilla, who took obsequiousness to new heights (lows?) in this 2008 interview.
CNBC's Carl Quintanilla: "Is it fun being a billionaire?"

Robert Allen Stanford: "Yes.Yes, yes, I have to say it's fun being a billionaire."

UPDATE:
Seems he's disappeared.

Anonymous Commenter: ABC producer flat out said "'we needed to bring Obama's approval ratings down.'"

By GottaLaff

Paddy linked you to a post over at Open Left. I'd like to follow up by making a couple of remarks by an anonymous commenter very public. Take them for what they're worth, since they're from an anonymous source, but IMHO, they are worth a lot:

I just got laid off from ABC after five years. The stories I can tell you. The stories. [...]

I just got laid off at ABC and my best friend works at CNBC.

They don't want Democrats on air. We've been only booking Republicans because "everybody already knows where the Democrats stand"

After all, what are the Democrats going to do? complain? It's the liberal media, right?

I was in a meeting last week where our producer flat out said we needed to "bring Obama's approval ratings down"

Everyone who got laid off this week was an Obama supporter.

Surprised?

Not in the least. Time to put the word out about this kind of bias. This post is a start.
