AP source: Feds are considering a NY trial for Gitmo suspect

More Rushpublic heads will explode, because, as you all know, our legal system is too inferior to handle something like this.

Oh, and just as a reminder: Our legal system is American. That would be "American", as in, "What every self-serving Tea Baggy Wingnutty Rightie Hatriot Claims They Are":
Federal prosecutors are considering sending a Guantanamo Bay detainee named Majid Khan - who grew up in Maryland before allegedly enlisting with al-Qaida - to face trial in New York, a person familiar with the discussions said Monday. [...]

The Justice Department is weighing whether to put him on trial in federal court in Brooklyn, but no final decision has been made, according to a person speaking on condition of anonymity in order to discuss the deliberations.

He's one of those senior member of al-Qaida, or at least someone with extensive knowledge of their evilness. Of course, per the GOP, he'll also be more powerful than our entire justice system and will single-handedly outwit Homeland Security.
