Seasons greetings, Bill O'Reilly! You know how you always seem to be blaming evil liberal Commies for the so-called War on Christmas? The one in which the words "happy holidays" are the weapon of choice? I still haven't figured out what war that is exactly... but I did stumble across a showdown between Jesus and his former colleague Santa. Thought you might be interested.

So will Bill-O and friends condemn Jesus for gunning down Kris Kringle? Or will they stand by J.C.'s Second Amendment rights and call it self defense? Killing Rudolph would have been more acceptable. After all, he's only a reindeer, and hunting is A-OK with most folks, right? But running him over? Scandalous.

Oh, but I kid the Bill-O.

Seriously, what kind of "creative" mind comes up with brutal faux Santacide as appropriate front yard art?

Jesus Christ, you have the right to remain silent... night:

A Christmas display featuring Jesus shooting Santa Claus and a run-over Rudolph is riling some residents of a California neighborhood, KCOY-TV in Santa Maria, Calif., reported. Homeowner Ron Lake said his Christmas display in Nipomo is an expression of his repressed creativity, and that Santa represents the commercialism of Christmas.

Let's not forget that whole First Amendment thing, either. In this case, it's very disturbing, unpleasant freedom of speech.

Well, at least per Ron Lake, we now know what Jesus would do.

Boy Sent Home For Drawing Of Crucifixion

Yes, everything must have the worst possible connotation, especially when it comes to religion and/or race. This poor kid:

A Taunton father is furious his eight-year-old son was sent home from school and required to undergo a psychological evaluation after he drew a stick-figure picture of a crucifixion.

It started on December 2, when the boy's second-grade teacher at the Maxham Elementary School asked the class to sketch something that reminded them of Christmas.

The boy, who has special educational needs, had recently gone with his family to see the Christmas display at the LaSalette shrine, a Christian retreat in Attleboro.

He drew what appeared to be a crucified Jesus Christ with X's covering his eyes to signify that he had died on the cross.

He then told the teacher that the person he drew on the cross was himself.

The teacher was concerned it might be a sign of violence and she contacted school officials.

And yes, race was brought up as a factor:

"As soon as he said that that was him on this cross (sleeping) – red flag! She ran with it! Touchdown! I got 'em. I'm gonna have him evaluated, there's something wrong with this minority kid. We gotta get in his mind."

"I'm sick of using the race card, but being a black man, I feel that I'm racially discriminated, me and my child."

The irony of this went right over Barbie McLipSchmutz's empty, money-grubbing, book hawking little head. The layout of her Twitter profile page alone contradicts her Not Materialistic message.

The Big Glenn Beck Cover-Up

Yesterday, Mr. Laffy went to do a couple of errands and came home laughing. No, he hadn't heard a joke, nor had he seen any photos of Sarah Palin.

He had been to Barnes and Noble where he noticed a woman at a shelf full of Glenn Beck books doing something that caught his attention.

As it turned out, it was the best seller rack, and he saw her placing other (reputable) books (not written in crayon and covered in rat dander) in front of Beck's to block his from view.

At first, she tried turning the books around so the backs of the Beck books would face out. But that view still revealed Beck's name and/or picture. So, exhibiting excellent judgment and problem solving skills, she started covering them up with other books. She was on a mission.

Mr. Laffy started cracking up and offered her a nearby copy of George Carlin's new book (superb choice, IMHO) to put in front of Beck's sour little mug, and wandered off.

About 20 minutes later, Mr. Laffy noticed that one of the books had been removed from the barricade, so he took the opportunity to act as Beck-Blocker Surrogate and shoved another book into the vacant spot.

Nothing says season's greetings like concealing bad tidings and replacing them with messages of good cheer.

Mission accomplished.

On Black Friday, Worker Killed in Stampede at Wal-Mart Store

Disgusting, horrifying, disturbing.

NEW YORK New York's Daily News published the grim details this morning of a worked at a Wal-Mart store on Long Island who was stampeded by the crowd rushing in just before dawn. Also, a trampled woman miscarried.

From the paper's Web site:

"Before police shut down the store, eager shoppers streamed past emergency crews as they worked furiously to save the store clerk's life. 'They were working on him, but you could see he was dead, said Halcyon Alexander, 29. 'People were still coming through.'
