Today's Quickie:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) in the coming week wants to clear the backlog of executive and judicial nominees, beginning with a procedural vote Monday night on the nomination of Lael Brainard for an undersecretary position at the Treasury Department.
Gee, that didn't take long. Please note the sarcasm.
Meanwhile, all those nice, well-meaning, wise, evenhanded, fair-minded, eager-to-please, non-activist BushCo judges and other operatives are still in place. Good for them!
I can't wait to see how many nominees will be blocked this time around! Democracy in action.
