"Meet the Press" had a very good week. It had another very good week back in August. What could the common denominator be? Hmmm:

"Meet the Press" had a convincing win this past Sunday, taking the top spot among Sunday talk shows with an average of 3.140 million total viewers. That's 17.6% more than second-place "Face The Nation" (2.670 million) and 19.3% more than third-place "This Week" (2.630 million). "Fox News Sunday" averaged 1.190 million total viewers.

Now why would that be? Think, think....

Couldn't be Gregory. He's on every week... unfortunately. Couldn't be Brooks, Dionne or Murphy. We've seen them a kajillion times, same ol' same ol'. Susan Rice? She's a bit more unique, but not what you'd call a "draw". So who could have boosted the ratings so much?

I mean, really-- "MTP": 3.14 million, "Fox News Sunday": 1.19 million. That's some disparity.

It was Maddow's second appearance — the first, on August 16, drew 3.359 million total viewers for the show's highest delivery since April.

DING!
