On my way to work, I was listening to the last few seconds of the Thom Hartmann show. He had a real sense of urgency in his voice and was discussing something that Bernie Sanders had said (somewhat paraphrased):
This could be the October Surprise: If we end up with a Bush/Reid/Pelosi bill, and if Obama ums and ahs down the middle on it, and if McCain becomes the champion against CEOs, it will be a rock around Obama's neck. And that could sink him. And it would be a disaster.
