I noticed it the other day and asked Gotta but she hadn't seen it. Now Duncan brings up the same thing. Looks like John A saw it too, and I'm pretty sure that's the same speech where I noticed it. Stroke? Result of his melanoma surgeries? (btw- Who needs $5k of makeup?)

I was thinking the EXACT same thing today watching him. I really noticed when he winked at I guess one of the reporters. At least I thought it was a wink and I thought to myself why does he always wink at people like what he is saying is so great then I started noticeing the eye. I looked at the side of his face and notice the three deep creases on his cheek and could help thinking about the melanoma they removed from his Temple recently. Was that on the same side of his drooping eye?

Okay - at the Convention his left eye was kinda droopy, but he wasn't holding his right eye so wide open & his left eyebrow was moving. Mini-stroke?
Something's definitely going on, though - he's saying shit that makes little sense (Spain interview, anyone?) and hasn't held a press conference in a long time (ok, 11 minutes yesterday. Seriously?), isn't speaking even to the reporters on his plane, and now is trying to get out of the debate on Friday.

In this news cycle (maybe until the damn election) I've given up on teh Firefox and am using the (cursed) IE just so's I can watch teh video.

It almost looks like he has Bell's Palsy.
I think that ptosis is somewhat common is people McCain's age. It's usually caused by simple muscle fatigue (and is more pronounced if they aren't getting enough sleep), but can also be brought on by muscle trauma . . . so be prepared to hear about McCain being a POW again.
I did some screen captures from the GOP debate on CNN and from today. I think there's a difference.

If something happens after Dec. 16th or so (actual something-or-other vote count) Sarah becomes the President elect. Before that, I guess she's the nominee, but who knows? Uncharted territory, that. I hardly think the Repubs would want to run her against Obama, but if they had already won the vote, what then? Wow, and 2000 seemed crazy.

1 eye is definitely lower than the other.
When my aunt got Bells Palsy she couldn't speak really well though.

He jabbed himself in the eye putting on his flag pin whilst trying to chew gum at the same time.
Nurse here. It could be something as simple as muscle atrophy from the facial surgery he has had. It could be as serious as mini stroke. His speach does not indicate stroke. His gaffs could indicate early alzheimer's...senility.
My dad, a former paramedic, noticed it straight away today during his speech. He called my mom into the room without telling her why and she noticed it right away too. She is a nurse and she says “It is definitely *something*.”
THANK YOU! I noticed it when CNN ran a videotape this afternoon and I thought it was just me, or maybe something that I had overlooked over the past few weeks. But it is SO VERY PRONOUNCED. The left side of his face looks as though it is drooping more and more.
The left side of his face looks different because they removed the lymph nodes from the left side of his face and neck with one of his melanoma surgeries. It's really common. I read an article a little while about his cancer and it talked about everything. I'll see if I can find the link for everyone
It does remind me of something akin to what I experienced during a (mercifully short-lived) case of Bell's Palsy. Brrrr.
I haven't listened to the video, just watched it with volume off since the family is asleep. I noticed the eye and I also noticed how much he blinks. Blinking fast is a dead giveaway for lying. He doesn't seem to be doing it the entire time. Is he blinking fast during his obvious BS?
I'm watching McCain's address now, and can't get past his left eye. Note that his forhead only wrinkles on the right side, above his right eye.... very strange!

He appears to have a GROWTH of some sort; UNDER his LEFT EYELID. Probably a recurrance of his deadly melanoma. I think he has Eye Cancer.

Briana -- I cannot view that video. Can you summarize what it says? When did it air? I have been watching CNN for the past 2 hours and they haven't mentioned McCain's health at all.

Yeah - his right eyebrow is much higher than his left. Last night when I watched the debates they were even. So I think he uses some sort of cosmetic injections like botox or whatever they have out there now that shapes the face and in these videos above he was due for some more injections.
