Two sources say McCain's ad campaign is set to extend to Indiana, a reliably Republican state where local polling has long showed Obama unexpectedly strong, and where Obama has been running a full-scale campaign.Hmm, wonder what changed their tune? In July they said-
The GOP move is a sign of concern on a map that seems to shift almost daily.
McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee, is taking a different approach to Indiana.Fast-forward to this week. Poll after poll is showing that Indiana is in play. Joe Biden is going to be in the state tomorrow. Obama's Campaign for Change has upwards of 30 field offices open statewide. Faced with the undeniable fact that Indiana is receptive to Obama's message -- or antagonistic toward another four years of George Bush's policies -- what's a guy like McCain to do?Some might call it confident; some might call it laid-back at best.
Asked whether the campaign has any plans to open an office in Indiana, campaign spokeswoman Leah Yoon -- who is based in Michigan, not Indiana -- had a one-word answer: "No."
He's going to suck it up and spend money. BFCE.

LMWOAO!
This is so great.
Even if we don't win Indiana, this is BIG that McCain has to divert funds here.
I would so love it if we won Indiana.
As an Indiana citizen based in Bloomington (Go I.U.!) this news has totally made my day. I've been working around campus to register voters and I see other "Campaign for Change" volunteers working hard everyday. We CAN do this. I know this state. Keep it up, guys!
