This was simply beauteous. Rachel turned the "ACORN pimp" story on its head. If you missed it, now's your chance:

Oh this is good. I heard the audio on the Stephanie Miller Show, but didn't realize there was a video to go with it:
Whoever edited this should get a Special Oscar.
H/t: Lizz Winstead and Alicia!

What more can I say? Only that her staff most likely had to head out to a giant warehouse/box store in order to stock up on enough colored pencils to fulfill their duties. :
We asked V.F.’s red-pencil-wielding executive literary editor,, together with representatives from the
and
departments, to whip it into publishable shape. Here is the colorful result.

Joan Walsh has been Tweeting her indignation about this:
What did she expect? It's O'Reilly. Here are her tweets:
--oh jesus, o'reilly is re-editing my interview to do what he didn't do friday. what a little bitch!
--Will Juan Williams defend me?
--i really think bill o'reilly is reaching his end here. i'm serious.
--is juan williams on twitter? I'd love to talk to him. My daughter and I chauffeured him around the night Obama won Iowa. He's being a tool.
--O'Reilly edited to make me look dumb, why don't edit him!

Moral of the story: Never mess with Obama's shorts.
Sidebar: The singsong female voice-over on this video illustrates part of this point I made in a Shallow Thought back in February. ::shudder:: Like nails on a chalkboard for me.

We go from a classy "West Wing" video to one from the other end of the spectrum. Wow. I wonder if Anderson Cooper's ever had this many cringe-worthy moments:
In the first 15 minutes of CNN's New Year's Eve Special, Kathy Griffin managed to antagonize, provoke and entertain in her own unrivaled way. Early comments included, "Can I get a pap smear from Dr. Sanjay Gupta?" "Has Ryan Seacrest been shot?" and, about former CNNer Glenn Beck, "He's a heroin addict Mormon."Here's the original, uncut, typically Griffin moment:But it was toward the end of the live two-hour special that Griffin really went blue. She was chastising a heckler for mocking her, saying, "Why don't you get a job buddy. You know, I don't go to your job and knock the d---s out of your mouth."
But TVNewser noticed that for the re-air (around 3:51amET) CNN edited out the moment, cutting to commercial break instead.
