"Democrats like to disclose crimes, but don't like to prosecute them. Why? Because they'd have to [...] indict Bush."Color me naive, but isn't that why one would disclose the crimes? To prosecute them? To prevent future crimes? To uphold the law?
BushCo lied and withheld information from Congress. That's a crime. So says Turley. So prosecute.
I'm sorry, I may be a little slow here, but what's the problem again?

The problem is we currently have neither a president nor an attorney general fully committed to the rule of law. As soon as they decide that laws against torture and murder, plus egregious violations of other criminal laws ought to be enforced, war crimes and crimes against the people of the United States will be investigated and prosecuted. Pretty simple, actually.
Meanwhile, my poor wall had multiple holes from my banging my head into it.
Democrates tend to be that kid you always took money from or sold skunk to in High School.
Have you seen the Wizard of Oz? Democrates are like the cowardly lion and Republican't are Oz; Oz is the creepy little guy who talks tough when he has nothing on the line.
Eventually the Lion wins with the help of Dorthy (Laffs/Paddy) in this story.
As I have said before, Obama has made promises about "justice for all", complete independence of the DOJ, gay rights in the armed forces, and transparency in governing and used them to get votes and be elected as President.
His attorney general initially told his staff to "do the right thing", that we are a "nation of laws, not of people", and indicated that he will prosecute whatever crimes that have been deemed to have happened. Yet since the first days of the administration, the AG has been coerced in the back channel by Obama to "look foward, not to the past", i.e. illogically do not prosecute crimes because they happened in the past and that they might be distracting to prosecute now! That is, technically we can go out, commit a crime, but won't be brought to justice simply if the President deems it to be inconvenient to his agenda.
We know now that Obama clearly has never had any intentions to carry out any of these particular promises. He has committed all these deceptions simply in order to become President of the United States. And that, folks, is the definition of FRAUD.
I have a huge bump on my head and a bad headache from slamming into the wall as well.
I am so disappointed each day when I read & hear about another promise which President Barack Obama is breaking. I guess I am not as good a judge of character as I thought I was.
The President is much more occupied with issues on the World Stage than he is with the American people who voted for him with an overwhelming majority based on the many promises he made to them. Not that his ideas aren't mostly brilliant on World issues, however, he owes it to the people to keep those promises or it will be ball game over in 2012.
He absolutely must get TOUGH and stand up to those Rushpugs, forget Bipartisanship because they don't know the meaning of the word, even if some things won't help his political career.
His many meetings with the big Insurance companies where they publicly promised to co-operate, are now doing everything in their power to kill his plans and those he has chosen to be his closest staff seem to be saying all the wrong things, then he is busy trying to put out their fires. Michelle Obama sees things straight, perhaps she should have a heart to heart with her husband and help him see the light.
This has been an ongoing problem with the Democrats dating back to the Reagan Administration with Iran-Contra scandal. Arranging to sell missles to people who sponsored anti-American terrorism in the Middle East, in order to finance pro-American terrorism in Latin American couldn't be any more defined as treason. The gauntlet should have come down on him.
But we all know what happened. Nothing happened and Reagan went on to become St. Ronny to his beloved party. The Iran-Contra scandal is just a footnote in history... and it came back to bite the Democrats in the ass.
The Nixon crimes pale when compared to the Bush/Cheney crimes. If they get away with it, Bush'great propaganda library will be built and his people will build a invulnerable narrative around him as they did with Reagan of what a great president he was.
And the right wingers will say if he commited any crime why wasn't he prosecuted? Indeed. I hope I am wrong. I got go bang my head against the wall.
Disregard and contempt for the other branches of government by the executive will remain a loaded gun for the next "decider" to get his way if nothing is done.
In the old days we called it a Monarchy and fled one branch government.
What I think happened is once President Obama had his meeting with President Bush, he learned that the problems Bush had created were much more complex than President Obama had thought in the beginning. I would give President Obama the benefit of the doubt and not lose faith in him this early in the game. Most of President Obama's campaign promises have been kept. Some were easy, but there are some that will take a little more time. He could not do everything in his first 100 days. President Obama has accomplished more in his first 100 days that George Bush did in eight years. That is quite impressive imho.
