Mark Sanford didn't want to go into a bar, "be molested"

On Rachel Maddow's show just now, Gina Smith was being interviewed. She's a reporter who interviewed Mark Sanford:

"I had a conversation with Gina Smith this morning, when I arrived in Atlanta, and I told her about my love for the Appalachian Trail (ph)."

She's just described Sanford's state of mind as "surprised, but not overly so. Sad. Annoyed." And then she said the following:

Sanford said he went to Buenos Aires because wanted to be able to go into a bar "without being molested".

I've known many a person who frequent bars for the opposite reason.
