By GottaLaff

They hit a flock of geese, the engine of Flight 1549 was disabled, they smelled smoke, and the pilot said, "Prepare for impact". He set the plane down as well as he could, and somehow, the plane remained in one piece. People got on the wing and into the rafts. There was a multi-agency response.
A US Airways plane has crashed into the Hudson River, sending passengers fleeing for safety in the frigid waters.

A government official said the plane struck a bird that disabled two engines. New York City firefighters, federal transportation officials and an armada of boats were responding to the accident. It was not immediately clear if there were injuries.
The FBI said there's no word that it was terrorism.
