Gates orders plan drafted for closing Gitmo

It's good to see Gates is supporting P.E. Obama's promise:

US Defense Secretary Robert Gates has ordered aides to prepare a plan for closing the Guantanamo prison, a declared priority for president-elect Barack Obama, a Pentagon spokesman said Thursday.

Geoff Morrell, the Pentagon press secretary:

"The request has been made, his team is working on it so he can be prepared to assist the president-elect should he wish to address this very early in his tenure," Morrell said.
