Poll-itics: IWRC* Palin plummeting in Colorado, tie in N.C. edition

By GottaLaff

Part I:

Ruh-roh! Trouble's a-brewin' for IWRC*!
We're still waiting on the new Public Policy Polling survey in Colorado, but here's a clue: Gov. Sarah Palin's favorability ratings have plummeted in the state.

At 5 p.m. ET, the new Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg national poll will be released. No details yet: "But suffice to say that the concern over the nation's general economic condition in the wake of the turmoil roiling Wall Street is striking."
Part II:
A new Civitas Institute poll finds Sen. Barack Obama has pulled even with Sen. John McCain in North Carolina, 45% to 45%.

Key finding: Obama has reversed McCain's recent lead among unaffiliated voters and now leads 45% to 40%.

Said pollster Francis De Luca: "Senator Obama has caught John McCain in the polls in North Carolina. A state that was once thought to be solidly in McCain's camp has become a toss-up according to this month's poll."
*"In What Respect, Charlie?"

The question is to ask: Do YOU want Sarah Palin bailing out the economy? Do you want TODD Palin giving advice on which bad-debts should be taken on the by US taxpayers? And: If TODD spent so much time in the Governor's office, sitting in on meetings, etc., when did he have time to do his real job - oil fields worker? And who was raising the kids??

chris i think he was more a lobbyist for the oil co.. they paid him to make sure she was always on board

I think you're right - but the campaign has said he's a commercial fisherman and a worker (union) on the North Slope oil fields. I have no clue what's a lie and what's not anymore, so I'm just assuming that EVERYTHING is a lie.

I think that's a sound strategy, Chris.

Man, Obama really needs to win this thing. I can't tell you how much I need to laugh in the faces of neocons when O turns out to be a great President.

I wonder why Gallup is showing 48/44... I liked it better at 50/42 last week.

Polls Scmolls. Think about all the “under the radar“ information that does not get collected by traditional polling sources. Obama‘s lead is much larger than this and the campaign is probably fine with the general public not knowing. The campaign is not only disciplined but very patient. McSLP will self- destruct in a slow a timely manner. Obama probably has a bag of tricks to use only if he has to.

Holy shit...NC? That's just awesome. I'm telling you that the intense ground game going on in both the Carolinas is really being kept pretty quiet. I see an upset in at least one of the southeastern states.

mccain and palin have more than stretched the truth and have told more than their fare share of lies. so i am with you chris, i also assume whatever comes out of those two is blatant lies, lies lies until proven true. and about the polls. way to go obama-biden, we know you are the right team for the job and thank you for working hard to make the rest of america understand this too.
