By GottaLaff

President Obama kept a promise. He said he'd donate his Nobel Prize money to charities, and he did exactly that.

You know what that makes him, don't you?

That's right.

A socialist.

Here is the breakdown of who got what:

- $250,000 to Fisher House, a national nonprofit organization providing accommodation for families of patients receiving medical care at military and Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers.

Video- Political rivals become gridiron warriors

LOL Tony Weiner.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Partisan politics was shelved for a few hours Tuesday night as Democratic and Republican congressmen teamed up with former NFL players in a gridiron battle against the U.S. Capitol Police.

The fourth annual 'Longest Yard' flag-football game raised more than $75,000 for the Capitol Police Foundation and the Washington Literary Council, but former Washington Redskins quarterback turned Democratic Rep. Heath Shuler of North Carolina, said the high spirited game might help to bridge the differences between the Democrats and Republicans in Congress.

"It's putting some comraderie back in … the U.S. House," Shuler told CNN. "I know if we can work together on the football field we can certainly work together when it comes to our policies."

Republican Reps. Duncan Hunter of California, Paul Ryan of Wisconsin and Jeff Flake of Arizona as well as Democratic Re. Jesse Jackson, Jr. of Illinois joined Shuler on the bipartisan congressional roster. GOP Rep. Bill Shuster coached the squad.

Several former NFL players were on and off the field including, Washington Redskin Ken Harvey, former Philadelphia Eagle John Booty, and former Detroit Lion Ed Lee.

By GottaLaff

Today's Quickie:

I guess Limpdong, Iran and the Taliban would agree on objecting to this, too, huh?
The White House has confirmed to CBS News that President Obama will give all of the roughly $1.4 million that comes with the Nobel Peace Prize to charity.
That was today's Quickie. Was it good for you?

Michelle Obama sent me an e-mail asking me to give to others this holiday season

By GottaLaff

Did anyone else get this e-mail? Funny, I don't remember ever getting one of these from the Bush family:
This holiday season, the grassroots movement you helped build can make a big difference for those in need.

I hope you will join me in supporting your favorite charity or contributing to causes that are especially meaningful to me and my family.

While many of us will spend the holidays counting our blessings and sharing dinner with loved ones, millions of people around the country won't be so fortunate. Donating to your local food bank will help provide a holiday meal to people in your community who can't afford one.
Talking with the families of deployed troops was one of the most rewarding experiences I had during the campaign. Giving to Operation USO Care Package is a great way to send members of our military stationed around the world a reminder that someone back home is thinking of them.

This is a time to celebrate our blessings, the new year, and a new era for our country. But it's also a time to come together on behalf of those who need our help.

Do what you can to help today by locating your local food bank and giving your support:

Or send a care package to an American in uniform:

Thank you for all that you do and have a very happy holiday season,

Michelle
Dear Michelle,

You will be an awesome First Lady.

Love, Laffy
