Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) "has endorsed a tough Arizona anti-immigration bill that will let police arrest people who aren't carrying identification, the latest move in McCain's rightward shift in advance of a tough Republican Senate primary this summer," Politico reports.

Not Maverick Any More is supporting a racial profiling bill that he's not even sure is legal (at about :22):



So let's recap: First he's a maverick, then he isn't. Then he shifts on immigration. Now he's not sure he supports "all the details" of the legislation he advocates. He's just for "the thrust" of the bill.

All while not answering a direct question with a direct answer.

Flanked by police officers at a town hall, McCain rejected fears that the bill will lead to racial profiling. [...]

Unlike her father, McCain's daughter, Meghan, has a clear position on the law. In her Daily Beast column, the younger McCain writes, "I do not support the bill that was signed by Governor Jan Brewer. I believe it gives the state police a license to discriminate, and also, in many ways, violates the civil rights of Arizona residents. Simply put, I think it is a bad law that is missing the bigger picture of what is really going on with illegal immigration."

Meghan can teach her father a thing or two about a thing or two. Now there's someone who could probably beat J.D. Hayworth.

By the way, Daddy McCain called the law a “good tool” for law enforcement. He can relate. He's a good tool for right wing extremists.

In a previous post, I wrote about Flippy McCain doing an about-face and suddenly supporting racial profiling in Arizona disguised as an anti-immigration bill.

It gets worse:



Poor Not McMaveri-cain. He's apparently losing what's left of his mind, as you can see by his response to a question about said racial profiling:

McCain: I hope -- I would be very sorry that if some of that happens. And I regret it, but I also regret the -- really, it's not just the murder of Robert Krantz. It's the people whose homes and property are being violated. It's the drive-by that -- the drivers of cars with illegals in it that are intentionally causing accidents on the freeway. Look, our border is not secured. Our citizens are not safe.

Yes, that's right, Flippy, these people want to die, kill others, maim and get maimed. It's all in their big Looking-for-a-Better Life Plan, striving to get into crashes and destroy as many lives as possible in the process.

Let's recap: Causing car accidents and injuring oneself and others is a vast improvement on the status quo and has become a lifelong goal.

Why, I bet the government's in on it, too! After all, he specified that it happens on ::dun-dun-dun-n-n:: freeways! It's a plot. It's all one big, commie, socialist, Marxist plot. The end is near.

Flippy McCain now supports Arizona anti-immigration bill

Now that he's no longer calls himself "maverick", we can now refer to him as "flippy". It's more appropriate, and it's way cuter:

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) "has endorsed a tough Arizona anti-immigration bill that will let police arrest people who aren't carrying identification, the latest move in McCain's rightward shift in advance of a tough Republican Senate primary this summer," Politico reports.

"It's a dramatic switch for a senator who supported comprehensive immigration reform with Democratic lion Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) just four years ago."

Flippy's into racial profiling now, is he? Nice. Way to change for the worse. He's gone so far to the right now, he's running headlong into his old running mate, Halfy.

Flippy/Halfy/Loony* 2012-2013 1/2!

*That would be Michele Bachmann. Flippy will need her when Halfy quits in the middle of the campaign.
